Those links are all working here. Maybe try later?kvotchin wrote: Thu Dec 18, 2025 11:04 am Anyone know where that went? Comes up as a 404, and the actual page (koalasampler.com) has nothing to say about desktop Koala whatsoever.

It’s possible they gave up on it.
Edit: links are working

In the latest newsletter email from Madrona Labs they mentioned a build system update that will allow adding CLAP and experimental Linux support. Should be seeing the fruits of this in the first half of next year.
We might get Aalto on Linux before GTA6!

Sorry if this was already mentioned, could not read all pages of this thread...
These are available on Windows, Mac, Linux (and they are quite cool imho):
ZL plugins: https://github.com/ZL-Audio
Tiagolr: https://github.com/tiagolr
BlepFX: https://fx.amee.ee
TX16WX Sampler: https://www.tx16wx.com/
BTW is the list on first post up to date?
Thanks for this initiative, very useful, I totally agree on the fact that going to use plugins that are available on all OS can be quite convenient

that's great news, fingers crossed.
I'm having another go at seeing how far I can get with just native linux but have had thoughts about installing wine/yabridge purely for aalto...

just rereading this thread; is anyone using AudioGridder as a means to use windows plugs with linux? I'm thinking having my windows laptop (already laden with fx) serving my linux desktop when i occasionally want to use one of them? Guess some latency but is it a fairly painless process? Avoid wine stuff on the desktop etc etc..... Cheers.

Yes, audiogridder works great, running server on linux and vice versa. Added latency is not more than some plugins if using a good NIC. Works great for mixing sessions.GaryG wrote: Wed Dec 24, 2025 2:42 pm just rereading this thread; is anyone using AudioGridder as a means to use windows plugs with linux? Can It be used to make Linux host use a windows virtual machine on the same PC?

Does KVR not have a searchable database to find which plugins support all three platforms? (And type of effect or synth)
Win + MacOS + Linux and VST+CLAP and type of fx (or synths).
I'm trying to use plugins that are supported on all three platforms to be able to move between my own daws running different OSes but also too collaborate with friends without hassle...
