Looking to recreate the lead guitar sound on "Don't Look Back" by Boston.
Fast forward to about 3 minutes to hear the solo without singing.
I have both Guitar Rig 7 and Amplitube 5.

You want/need a RockMan ?
The secret is not what effects (compression - distortion - eq) but fiddling with the params until it's right.
Oh, I recall you don't play real guitar? A convincing performance comes for a huge part from brains/hands, not the gear. imho...

Agreed, but I'm not going to get anywhere near the sound pulling up a Twin and a Lesley. Get me in the ballpark and I'll worry about the performance. So does Guitar Rig 7 or Amplitube 5 have a Rockman or an equivalent?BertKoor wrote: Thu Nov 13, 2025 7:15 pm You want/need a RockMan ?

Okay, I found this video
Amplitube 5 does have a Rockman in the Joe Satriana collection. I don't know if I own that one but it does have it and you can't tell the difference in the sound.
