‘Fantastic Flaws‘ features 720 presets and is split up into 6 soundsets. Each sound is inspired by a different guitar pedal.

These sounds are a masterclass in sound design - highly recommended - the only problem for me is I still have not tried them all because every time I get into one sound I just get carried away with playing it - each sound has a lot of depth and playability

Thank you! That's great to hear.
Lion is such an underrated synth. Wish it was a HW synth

I think of it as something like 2 Braids modules coupled with the FX from BYOMEbrick wrote: Sun Jun 08, 2025 10:43 am Thank you! That's great to hear.

Might have to try that out. Is Braids worth having ?

I only have software versions but several synths have this Macro type of OSC that LION has, with a selection of very varied synth types - Minifreak is another - but LION is overall more flexible and has better filters and effects

Never really considered Braids, but just listening to it now. Its got some range of sounds, and it sounds great.
I guess the Minifreak uses all the Mutable algorithms doesnt it. Its in a nice package. Another thing on the list..

The Minifreak does but it also adds some extras like several types of granular and they just added a vocoder (although that is in the fx section)
Actually I'm wondering if LION is more based on Plaits than Braids? (Plaits is an expanded Braids from Mutable)

I think the Minifreak / Microfreak are based on the Plaits algorithms, not sure if Lion is though.
