Probably the voting will start on the 28th, with the deadline on the 31st or possibly Jan. 1st. Hellfog will let us know when he starts the voting topic. I won't have anything this month, so I won't be voting, but I've enjoyed the submissions so far.

Can't wait to get to the voting. Need something to do.

I have a resolution to be a better contributor in 2026...so many ideas in my head and unfinished projects, work and travelling getting in the way.

Best wishes for the New Year and apologies in advance for hurting your ears xxx

2026 is gonna be some quite interesting year if predictions about what is gonna happen in the world pass. Would that be a theme? - or maybe not. . .

Music from West Africa - Mali, Senegal, Gambia could certainly be the theme.

I don't record any instruments live, I construct my music.

Why specific Only West Africa Music?

Post

Q: Why specific Only West Africa Music?

A: What I have in mind is the instrument kora and how the kora music is played in West Africa. The use of kora is easily recognized, because it is mostly played in a certain traditional way. Perhaps I should have written West African kora music to be more specific, as there are other genres in West Africa too of cause.

Guitar can be played to almost sound like the kora.

Search youtube with "kora" to hear the music I have in mind.

Might as well be the whole continent of Africa.

In Africa they say "Might as well be the whole western music"?

I mean that generalization would show disrespect to the equally meaningful genres in African or western music.

To those who know the genres. I would imagine that the KVR entrants might be unaware of these, I certainly am.

How about a theme of resolution in some form?
