Burt's right. That's the wrong audio interface for music production. You may end up with too much delay (latency) between what you hear on recorded tracks with what you are playing on new tracks.chriscap wrote: Tue Dec 30, 2025 12:35 pm Hi guys I have been buying equipment i think i may need but have no clue what connects to what and in what order

But the basic setup would probably look like:
Audio interface into computer. Headphones into audio interface. (think of your computer as a fancy multi-track tape deck, but you will need some software known as a DAW (digital audio workstation) to make this happen.)
Banjo into Zoom, into amp, mic into audio interface. (amp and mic may not be necessary and you could go Zoom into audio interface)
Drum machine into audio interface.

Good luck. Don’t let yourself get too frustrated. It can be unintuitive, but it’s always possible.

Oh, if you want to control that Alesis drum machine from your PC, you'll need MIDI. Most semi-pro audio interfaces have that on board. Just not that live sound card. As said, it's not for musicians.
