It is possible that they can do this plugin but they didn't do the sound test and change the manufacturing name a one like coding thing so we will see if there is a working version of glicol live coding vst for windows at the end of it or not..

You want a quality product, either spend the time to learn how to do it yourself or hire someone who knows what they're doing.

I would also consider using something like OBS over a handheld camera (phone?) if you want to make videos so that people can actually see what you're trying to show them from the screen. OBS is free and while it's mainly for streaming (and used by almost everyone who streams anything), it can also "stream" into a file, so it's kinda perfect for screen recording.

Cheap Fiverr devs have to optimize for delivering as little as they can barely get away with.

Be glad it is an effect! That way it can do anything.dexrow wrote:... it's an effect ...
Technically a VST(2) instrument is the same as an effect, but without any audio inputs.
Well, you get what you ask for. You did ask for that, right?dexrow wrote:... it has no manufacturer name or version ...
Did you get a copy of the source code so you can change all that yourself?
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

Nitpick: technically a VST2 instrument is literally the same thing as an effect, except that it sets one bit(!) to indicate that it's an instrument.BertKoor wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 9:32 am Technically a VST(2) instrument is the same as an effect, but without any audio inputs.
For compatibility reasons I'd suggests having outputs on instruments and both inputs and outputs on effects (some hosts might get confused otherwise), but I don't think they are technically required and as far as I'm aware having inputs on instruments usually won't hurt (though whether any given hosts can make use of them varies).

I am looking for something that I can add all my usual vst effects to... It is possible that the project is not worth while we will see..

He is not done with it yet..... The deal is that I get the source code and he is listed as the programmer with contact info on fivrr exc.. I would expect the source code and will allow anyone to compile it themselves if they wish since it was open source to start with... As a fork it would have me as the manufacter.BertKoor wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 9:32 amBe glad it is an effect! That way it can do anything.dexrow wrote:... it's an effect ...

It should save everyone alot of trouble if it has that one line set to instrument, instead of trying to put a dummy on there or hopeing the daw does it correct..mystran wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 12:19 pmNitpick: technically a VST2 instrument is literally the same thing as an effect, except that it sets one bit(!) to indicate that it's an instrument.BertKoor wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 9:32 am Technically a VST(2) instrument is the same as an effect, but without any audio inputs.

If the programmers only goal is to call the customer stupid instead of doing a bid where the customer has working software or an answer as to why not then i made a mistake for sure... I just assume it was a mistake since he said he would do a sound check, give me the source code and whatever. We will see though how it works out.BertKoor wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 9:32 amBe glad it is an effect! That way it can do anything.dexrow wrote:... it's an effect ...
