Thank you but it seems that LFOs are also slaves to envelope 1.

The envelope 1 is a "master envelope" for the other envelopes. So its not possible to have, for example, a quick attack from envelope 2 to the Vol of OSC2 when the envelope 1 has a slow attack. Apart from reversing the roles of the envelopes, can this be remedied?
And is there a reason for this master role to envelope 1?
ENV1 is the ADSR curve of the patch's amp. This is “hard-wired.” In principle, however, this is not a problem. Simply set ENV1 to full volume without delay and use the other ENVs for the OSCs (e.g., ENV2 for OSC1, ENV3 for OSC2, etc.). This allows you to give each oscillator any envelope you want.

Ah yes, seen that way, it's worth considering.
ENV1 should be called ENV-M, then ENV2 would be ENV1, and so on. That would be clearer. But it's fine, it's good to see it that way. Thank you Matt67.

Most "fixed architecture" synthesizers, i.e. not modular, have some sort of master envelope that defines the actual length of the voice, most importantly the release time, how long the oscillators keep their output after the key has been released. Other synths (like DIVA) can set the master amplifier to "gate" which means the synth will only output sound while the key is being pressed, but in general it's not very musical.

Well aaactually, it's called "voice amp" in Vital's list of parameters and that amp is polyphonic, so ENV1 is technically not a curve of the patch's amp, that would control the master level or similar. The voice amp has no GUI representation but it sits between voice output and the effects chain and controls every synth voice individually.

Thank you for the link. What I just read there is exactly what I wrote.

Created by Oxunick, Night Fern is built around a deep green interface designed for long sessions. Subtle contrast keeps controls readable without feeling harsh. Teal and orange glow bring motion to waves and graphs without overpowering the UI. The overall feel is calm, organic, and focused. A theme meant to stay out of the way while you work.

Thanks, too much bloom for my taste but the colors look nice.

Surprised to see there are no 18 dB filters. Apart from that the filter section is pretty good (although Resonance is almost hidden in the GUI).

The envelopes can't display envelopes with an attack over 5 seconds. They run off the screen.

Well, Vital has 32 different filters. Including analog 12dB and 24dB filters. I think you can do quite a lot with that. Resonance isn't hidden. It's a slider right next to the two filter sections. As for the envelopes, simply click on the magnifying glass in the upper right corner. You will then see the entire envelope curve.

I got a recent version of Vital. Does it have MSEG? Can't find it.

That's what the LFO's can do in Vital.

This is so impressive. You can really define any attack you want by dragging the solid dot up or down. I have rarely seen this before at a synth. Alchemy only allows for 5 shapes, Spire 3. Only Logic Sampler can do this as far as I know, however that is a sampler.
