Still like it too (as i have no better options yet on Linux), little Quirks, Limitation and slow feature grow up, aside.
But i had a good conversation and communication with matt.
There are no "chords, basses, drum loops, percussion loops" or own Tags.
Drumloops are simply ignored. Yes, you can't use DrumLoops. Sometimes a Loops is leaked and
under a wrong Category but this by accident.
The weird ADSR in Advanced Setting is still there (sustain locked when set up release).
Kinda hidden Advanced Setting.
Choke Groups kinda hidden.
There is still room for Features and Improvements...but maybe no time.

I prefer Waves Cosmos - it analyses my entire sample collection and doesn't just limit you to drum sounds, and seems much better at grouping sounds into musically meaningful clusters.

The lack of any randomization features makes Waves Cosmos feel absolutely rigid and uninspiring.

Why would I need randomisation to manage samples? I am not referring to the sample instrument bit (which I don't use), just the sample organiser (the cloud map thing)enCiphered wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 10:09 am The lack of any randomization features makes Waves Cosmos feel absolutely rigid and uninspiring.

How do you *conveniently* randomize sample position, timing, frequency, volume if not on the same plugin that allows finding and choosing them? XO has all of that integrated, same for Atlas. If Waves Cosmos only allows choosing them, it's cool, but it's limited and, as I said, not convenient at all regarding workflow.aMUSEd wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 10:25 amWhy would I need randomisation to manage samples? I was referring to it as a sample manager/explorer - I have much better samplers such as Kontakt for everything else. I just like the way it categorises all my samples - the other sample managers I have tried, even Sononym to an extent, are heavily biased towards drums as if that is the only type of sample people use.mabian wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 10:28 amHow do you *conveniently* randomize sample position, timing, frequency, volume if not on the same plugin that allows finding and choosing them? Ah, my bad. I missed that distinction. I thought this was about Atlas in general, where randomization is the most unique and fun part of the plugin.

No problem, I was coming into it mainly on the basis of the previous post/s lamenting the lack of certain categories/tagsenCiphered wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 10:32 am Ah, my bad. Is there a specific forum to suggest improvment for this software ? (In particular for the sequencer part wich is btw already very good)
Thanks
Thanks
