”Sky Light” began as a vehicle to test a new acoustic preamp (LR Baggs Para DI) on my Dragonfly Nylon String Tapping Acoustic guitar. I recorded the guitar track to a click and decided to add drums and a new Soma Flux synthesizer (think next generation theremin). The cover photo was taken at Bethany Beach, Delaware.

That's some fancy picking there partner. Love it! Keep 'em coming. Hey, I did a tribute to your Chapman Stick tune. It inspired me. So thanks for that. I used Orange Tree's virtual. I thought it sounds decent enough.

Thanks very much! With the Dragonfly guitar it is all tapping - my picking skills leave a lot of room for improvement! I will look for the tune to check it out. I demoed the Orange Tree Sample library and did a video for them using LinnStrument - it is a great library. The only other sampled Stick library I am aware of is in Trillian.

Performance and mix sound great, really nice depth while letting the guitar take center stage.
When the data is corrupt in the Desert of the Real, Beyond the Last Thought, where intuition reigns, is the solace that will embolden and strengthen the soul, giving hope once more to this age of failing technique. eassae.com

That's amazing what a guitar can evoke! From experimenting with the guitar,
you've created an instrumental that perfectly suits the sky and the light of
heaven. What I particularly like is the purely acoustic performance, the
sound of each individual string! Powerful song! :tu:
