It's been a little bit (job, family, etc. tends to take up all the time), but I've gone back down the rabbit hole of designing 3D printed ukuleles to write new songs on. Introducing the Mini 2 - an all new sopranino sized ukulele with a wider fretboard for easier playing and made to allow for intricate designs on the body top.

Feedback on the designs, the song, the recording, etc. is always appreciated!

And if you would like to print and build your own Mini 2 ukulele you can download the files at https://makerworld.com/en/models/222906 ... Id-2424912

Amazing: A whole range of ukuleles to print yourself! And you're
really showcasing a wide variety of colors. The Hue Forge template
with the skull would be my favorite ukulele.

You can obviously tell that the ukuleles are printed from plastic –
but that's precisely the point. A great addition to the ukulele world! :tu:

I'll be honest...they sound pretty damn good! I was expecting it to be a lot 'thinner' than that in terms of timbre.

Sounds great and looks like a fun little project. What is your recording chain for the uke?

Short and sweet. A great composition that manages to showcase the sound of the Mini2. The recording/production is very nice. The music reminded me of some of the tunes made by The Penguin Cafe Orchestra in the early '80s.

Good work :)

Thanks! Yeah, I'm having fun with the ability to easily add Hueforges to the ukulele top. The skull is definitely a popular one :)

Thanks! The recording chain is pretty simple. I have a matched stereo pair of Oktava mk012 condensor mics that are plugged into my MOTU M2 interface. I put the mics about 8 to 12 inches from the uke, pointed at either side of the sound hole. From there it goes into FL Studio.
