Most of my experience is with the hardware Oberheims I own/have owned and I don’t sit around A/B’ing hardware and soft synths. So, I voted for the two software synths that I’m most familiar with. And, I don’t think of software (even emulations) as being replacements for hardware - I just think of them as synths, if that makes any sense. IOW, I picked the two software synths synths that I know and use, with no consideration of how closely they do or don’t sound like my hardware (because I don’t know, nor do I care).

The 2Dat/DiscoDSP/Surge one isn't an exacting emulation, but it's a great sounding VA with an OB architecture. Nothing wrong with that.

Yeah, I misread the poll. The Surge makes sense.

Surge OB-xf. Never tried any of the others.

Diva gets so many votes and is not even a Oberheim emu at all, that's amazing. I wouldn't even have added it, if some posts didn't mention Diva and I don't have Diva.
Isn't HZ Zebra almost Diva, too? or just same filter or just similar...? I haven't included HZ Zebra in the list!
Some other things surprise me, too, didn't expect three plugins to get any vote, but they got votes, won't name them, cuz that's just my subjective view.
Poll is not about what's the exactest emu, it is about what you like or prefer using.

The new Omnisphere 3 with the new modeled Oberheim filters has one of the best Oberheim sounding Oberheim patches of anything on that list

The poll's rompler option is "other", I didn't include Xpand2! with some OB presets, either, would be too many

Why do people always get so picky about polls. :?

I wasn't referring to the Rompler sounds in Omnisphere, Omnisphere 3 is also a full blown VA synth, and a very, very good one right up there with the best of the best. I actually like it better than DIVA for VA duties and I have loved DIVA forever

Omnisphere can have up to four Oscillators so you can use it like a classic Oberheim poly

Built into in Omnisphere is also a recreation of the Sequential Oberheim OB6 including an amazing sounding model of its state variable filter only of course you get way more polyphony and the ability to have two extra Oscillators

It also has an insanely deep modulation matrix and can do pretty much everything Matrix 12 could do with more polyphony

Finally because each of the four oscillators can have its own filter and envelopes and be treated like an independent synth in and of itself you can use it to recreate the four voice

I would say Sonic Projects OP-X PRO-II/III is the most like a real Oberheim sound. Extremely underrated and one of the most accurate analog emulations out there.
