As excited as I am for another fabfilter plugin, it’s strange that they consider pro-mb feature complete but pro-c needs a 3rd version

What if…..
…this teaser is trying to throw us off and the “C” is actually referring to the long-awaited channel strip?
Yeah, I know, but a boy can dream, right? Personally, I can’t really think of anything else that I’d need in Pro-C.

Maybe they’re adding analog modeled compression like The Glue? I could see them adding color compression options.

I hope not, they're shit at analog modelling, that's not their strong point.coroknight wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 3:47 pm Maybe they’re adding analog modeled compression like The Glue? I could see them adding color compression options.

probably best to wait and see what 'C" actually is (altho my money's on C3...). still, a channel strip would be nice

I’m very interested to see how they upgrade this.

It's obviously gonna be the compressor, one of their oldest plug now. If it was the channel strip they'd call it Pro-S to not overlap.

The color scheme matches Pro-C so it’s definitely Pro-C 3

Let's play a round of feature bingo:
1) upward compression
2) not analog simulation, but saturation of different types that can be dialed in
3) improved auto-gain using numerical solvers (like trackcomp 2) and lufs based matching
4) compression modes: rms and peak compression
5) integrated expander
These are the things that come to my mind.
