Sylenth1 is perfectly fine in my view. Has VST3 support, ARM support, still use it all the time.
For me it would absolutely be ArtsAcoustic Reverb. No Apple Silicon support is such a sad thing. I've spent hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on "replacement" reverb plugins and am still using the original Arts in my projects. I believe Refx now has the rights to the algorithms - surprised they haven't made their own reverb or Avenger FX.
Other honorable mentions:
- 2C Audio Breeze
- Navira (really great JP/Virus emulation, sadly never got the attention it deserved, though I believe I heard from the developer that he's working on what could be a follow up)
- Softplug Adventus
- Alchemy (Free it from Apple Jail)
- Camel Crusher

Apart from the sad situation about the reverb, I think it's a most wonderful thing when you find a tool that you just click perfectly with.paulm12 wrote: Sun Nov 30, 2025 1:12 am I've spent hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on "replacement" reverb plugins and am still using the original Arts in my projects.

Wondering what other synths you liked since you have good taste - maybe i missed something, like Navira which I'm looking into.

Rhino2, I think that’s definitely my pick. I’d throw Helix in too with a new UI.

So many saying Z3TA+ So you all HAD it then what? Threw it away?... It's as good as anything new yet 22 years old (for original)... Just install a 32bit version of your crappy DAW (Or last available) in your 64bit crap OS then use it without needing bridging & experience oldtime efficiency with massive sound...

Although can't say that i used it a much, but actually recently load it after long time and could noted what a nice and complex things could made in former times huh ?
upd (And dropped again for ~next 20 years

I wonder how Albino would sound like if it would still have been developed by Linplug/Rob Papen.

I still have the last release of Adventus and it still works. Very ahead of its time. I want my CamelPhat back.
