Intersting. But you should better be careful. The "Digital Sound Factory" themselves still market the old E-mu Sounds they have made and afaik they´re pretty restrictice when it´s about sampling. I suppose that´s also why you don´t find much from the old Sound Modules anywhere.gvnz wrote: Mon Jan 12, 2026 11:44 am it's abandonware at this point, but i still have fun with it so i thought i could share what i made

just to be clear, these are not previously available commercial libraries, these are all original samples that i made; i just meant to say that i am well aware that the user base for this specific format is practically non existent.
Also i could have put in my first message that is still possible to download and install proteus VX, a free software that can load and play libraries in the emulatorX format.
there are only 2 libraries for now, but i got a lot of stuff that i think it's interesting and original. I intend to update this thread when i add more. Next up is a very tweakable drumkit.

Thank you, thank you gvnz, for making these multisamples available
for the free Proteux VX! This is fantastic, perhaps even inspiring for
any creative musician.
Anyone can download free the Proteus VX player as a VSTi and use these
samples! Thank you!

Maybe abandoned but still sounds great... I use ProteusVX all the time, The EMU folks are hardcore top-notch sampler crafters, great sounds from small libraries...
Thanks for these!

The Emulatir X (as everything E-mu) works with "sample Oscillators". Its basicly just samples and samples are subject to copyright.gvnz wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 10:12 am just to be clear, these are not previously available commercial libraries, these are all original samples that i made; i just meant to say that i am well aware that the user base for this specific format is practically non existent.
