Shit, this looks great.
I’ve always reached for Pro-C for clean compression, so it’s going to be very interesting to compare the new models and character settings.
The integrated window with Pro-Q4 is amazing.

Quite a lot for me right now. Will need to test first. I have plugins coming out of my ears already.

$63 was my upgrade to Q4. I own every FF plugin, so that was presumably the best loyalty price. Like a lot of people, I typically use Pro-C specifically because it’s so clean. I already have plenty of character compressors, so I’m not very hyped over this update yet, but the FF fanboy in me will probably prevail.Download SOphist wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 12:23 am About the same as pro-q 3 to 4 (59 eur in my case)?

the instance thing alone is worthwhile, but am expecting a few enhancements (Q4 was a nice upgrade from the already-nice Q3). meanwhile.... why is it not yet tomorrow? i have things to compress......

The instance thing is indeed pretty cool from the two second clip in the video. Looks like another big innovation from them (being able to see EQ and Compression across multiple tracks from a single instance). I don't use ProC and ProQ a whole lot but this could kind of make me want to.

I like to switch my compressor to RMS detection for pianos and sometimes busses. Pro C is supposed to be a put-it-anywhere, “ABC” compressor. Not including an option for RMS detection mode seems like a lazy and weird choice.bmanic wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 4:46 pm Now that the cat is out of the bag, I can disclose that I am indeed somewhat involved with the actual development itself (last time I was hired by FabFilter was with Pro-L2). So once you all have the demo running and want to ask any more specific questions I may be able to answer some of them.
Don't expect an unbiased review or opinion on Pro-C3 from me though, I'm way too deeply connected to the development process this time around. Having said that, those that know me, that doesn't stop me from being critical of even my own work.![]()

I have Pro-C, currently it's $97 to upgrade to C3. Hopefully it stays the same or goes down when C4 comes out. It's one of those cases where I keep putting off upgrading, but I think it and Pro G are my favorites from them, (I already have Equilibrium so Pro Q is slightly redundant)

where do you see the upgrade to c3? c4 might be a decade away, so...machinesworking wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 6:24 am I have Pro-C, currently it's $97 to upgrade to C3.
