Not sure though why we get host synced trigger, but not host/bpm synced release times. This has been (for good reason) in H-Comp for ages as rythmical release times often feel better. So, it's still the delay time calculator I guess.

Those were never that good, but maybe with this new introduction of saturation modes plus up to 32x oversampling they will sound better. Going to test later…

Yup, I feel like those could be removed (they're from 2006), but they have to keep it for preset migration (compatible with C1 & 2).HcDoom wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 11:09 amThose were never that good, but maybe with this new introduction of saturation modes plus up to 32x oversampling they will sound better. But now this has too many algos, 1 of the reason why I dont use Cenozoix. 1 overlap too (old & new opto modes).
Also what's with the wavy sliders? looks kinda ugly.

Can I ask whether you were part of the beta testing, using CLAP formats of Pro-C3 and Pro-Q 4, or only the VST3 formats? - And if so, which DAW you tested in?bmanic wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 4:46 pm Now that the cat is out of the bag, I can disclose that I am indeed somewhat involved with the actual development itself (last time I was hired by FabFilter was with Pro-L2). So once you all have the demo running and want to ask any more specific questions I may be able to answer some of them.
I ask because the CLAP format "Instance View" for these plugins appears to be displaying incorrectly (and differently), as compared directly to the equivalent VST and VST3 formats thereof - Tested in FL Studio (latest version).
Not sure at this point whether this is purely a FF issue or perhaps something for Image-Line to fix?
Basically, instead of the normal vertical-scrolling behaviour of the "Instance List" view screen (which worked fine BTW in the previous version in this DAW). Any CLAP instances of these plugins are instead displayed as all horizontally-scrolling instead of vertically-scrolling (which is a workflow killer, since the user has to keep manually clicking "right/left-arrow" to scroll through and display the various instances of CLAP instances of Pro-Q 4 and Pro-C 3.
Could some other users please also test how their CLAP format is performing for them within the "Instance List" view within other DAWs? (i.e. for any projects containing multiple instances of these plugins - CLAP format only).
If anyone can help me gather more information around this issue, I will then report it to FabFilter (and/or Image-Line) to hopefully fix on their end.
Here's an image showing the different behaviour between VST3 / CLAP formats as follows...

Kind of ugly is an understatement. I'd also use adjectives like stupid and awful. That needs to get yanked right out in an update never to be attempted again.

Was trying to be polite, I thought the same thing as you. This gives off a "I need to add more so it looks like I've done alot of work" vibe.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 12:39 pmKind of ugly is an understatement. It's still morning time for me and I really should have a "don't post on public forums before 10 a.m." rule as my ability to filter is extra low. But yeah, we're on the same page there. Where's bmanic so I can yell at him about that?jtsterays wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 12:48 pm Was trying to be polite, I thought the same thing as you. Probably has the same opinion. I bet his involvement is mainly around the new comp algos, which I have high expectation for because it's him (not tried the demo yet).Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 12:56 pmIt's still morning time for me and I really should have a "don't post on public forums before 10 a.m." rule as my ability to filter is extra low. Same opinion here on the wavy sliders. Haven't tested yet whether we actually have drag curves along the waves. Even if its not the case, it would be weird that the UI implies such a thing.

Yeah, I'm sure. He's had some prior feedback ignored on UI stuff in prior betas but I don't think that should stop us from beating up on him over it.jtsterays wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 1:10 pm Probably has the same opinion. I bet his involvement is mainly around the new comp algos...
