Hi everyone!

I’ve been vibe coding a small sequencer and wanted to share it and ask for your feedback. It is a browser-based sequencer that maps the text you type directly to musical notes. I've made it for fun as a weekend project, had quite some fun using it so I thought more people might enjoy playing with it.

Try it here: https://textstep.lovable.app (https://textstep.lovable.app)

How it works:
1 Letter = 1 Note: It functions like a step sequencer. Every character you type becomes a step in the sequence (sounds best with shorter sequences or words).
Rhythm & Rests: Punctuation marks (like periods) and spaces act as Rests.
Scale Quantization: The notes are mapped to a musical scale. This ensures that even though the input text might be random, the result stays in key and creates actual melodies rather than random noise.
Sound: It runs on a built-in FM Synth engine, but you can also switch it to MIDI Output mode to send the sequence to your DAW or hardware synths.

It’s completely free and open to use. I'd love to receive some feedback: how you're using it, what you like, and most importantly what you don't like that I can improve.

          Thank you in advance!
