This actually looks really cool, I subscribe so installing now. I agree, this is a lot to take in. lol

The channel overview is great for being able to adjust the parameters of multiple plugins on one screen. I don't think I've been able to do that before..

I don't use enough effects for that to be of any use to me at all. I'd much prefer to be able to access my mixer and effects GUI at the same time and as I only have one mouse cursor, I can only change one parameter at a time anyway.
THE INTRANCER wrote: Sat Jan 17, 2026 1:57 amIt's purpose was to provide easy access to properties such as Event FX settings that were not available anywhere else. When you place an effect on an event, you can choose to have that effect rendered to that event or allowed to play un-effected and potentially use more CPU cycles. That's what I used it for mainly. There was no other place for this to be found in the GUI.
Floating windows make a tiny bit more sense, an entry on a right-click menu - "Edit Event FX" - makes even more. Anything that eats into your horizontal space on a timeline based application is just stupid. But I think Event FX are messy, I'm happier putting the clips on a separate track and adding effects in the normal way, where I can see what I've done and get to things easily.
It just makes things easier, just like having a properties panel in Cinema 4D every time you click on an object.
Yeah, that's another thing that takes up screen real estate. I'm not a fan of Cinema 4D's workflow at all.

I was watching a recent video of Joe Gilder's, and in it he mentioned that there was an option somewhere to toggle to restore the previous behavior; unfortunately, he did not show where to find that option in that video.

I want single and double click to open the plugin editor, and shift+click to open the Micro view.

That way, Micro view would never open unless I actually want it to. Which is never.

I can't seem to find it, but reversing the behaviour I've been using for a decade is really quite annoying.

Skip to 10:35 for when a frustrated Joe Gilder makes a casual remark about the flipped behavior: "You can change it back, but..."

Why not? For most plugins, it means you never have to open the plugin window. With ProEQ, you can even manipulate the curves in the graph from the mini-view. How is that not a great time-saver? Moreover, how is being able to see your plugin settings right in the mixer not a huge boon to production in general?

Why not?
  1. Because I have no idea what the truncated labels go to.
  2. Because it’s extremely small, cramped, and fiddly.
  3. Because chances are I’m going to accidentally click somewhere and screw up my settings.
  4. Because I don’t know which ‘mid’ or ‘level’ I’m adjusting when there are 5 different ‘mid’ and ‘level’ controls each on the plugin.
  5. Because not all the parameters are shown and most of the ones that are require scrolling to see. And then you end up moving a slider when you’re just trying to scroll.
That said, the one thing I do like it for is seeing and setting precise values on plugins like UAD that don’t show you any values. It’s a nice little trick that lets you see inside the sausage.

It was already stated that Joe was wrong.

Shame on a missed opportunity to improve on skinny and non-consistent fonts which have terrible visibility on Windows, especially on hi-res high DPI screens.
Situation with font visibility in S1/SP8 on macOS is better since that OS is rendering fonts better but on Windows it looks so "amateurish" for the lack of better word. :(

I think that must be a problem with your computer because the fonts look great and completely consistent on my PC. There's a utility you can run to optimise how fonts render on Windows. I haven't had to use it in more than a decade so I cant' recall what it's called but it's there if you are having issues. I've worked on a lot of Macs over the years and I've never found their screen rendering to be any different to Windows.

That mostly sounds like you're admitting to being a bit stupid or maybe that you need a bigger monitor. But you do know that, as of version 7, you can customise which parameters show on the mini-view, so you should always know which controls you are adjusting, right? I love it, I pretty much never have to open a plugin GUI any more.

I'm still on v4, so for ~$90 (audiodeluxe) I think I can't go wrong giving it another shot.

Stupid because of taste? You really are a prick.

Would be nice, if Fender / Presonus will add Mustang Native and also Studio Verb to the Presonus Hub... Then you could use those in other DAWs, too, and export/import project via dawproject format.

Or maybe even all of Studio Pro plugins, so you could 1:1 load the song into other DAWs, including all the fx.
