It seems to be able to load Soundfonts. Reminds me of old Cakewalk before audio capabilities.

Question... I have most of the major chord tools (Scaler, Captain Chords, ChordJam, EZkeys, etc.). I enjoy most of them but my favorite for just noodling around on the keyboard is Chord Prism. Simply because you can play chords on the left hand and then built in patterns, melodies/arps, scale notes on the right hand. Is there no other plugin that has this functionality? I'm assuming Scaler might but it's so bloated now and I honestly haven't looked into it.

Yeah scaler has that. You can even restrict scale locked melodies to the white keys.JiggSaw wrote: Thu Jan 01, 2026 4:04 am Question... Scaler is worth putting time into, imho. It’s not so much bloated as comprehensive.
Everything else I’ve used always seems a bit half-assed in comparison.

Can I bind motions/phrases to the black keys? I'm going to play around with it today.kraster wrote: Thu Jan 01, 2026 8:54 amYeah scaler has that. A new MIDI generator freebie:
Harmonic Echo - "a generative MIDI delay that turns simple notes into evolving, scale-locked musical sequences in real-time".

This thing is pretty cool. Adding some LFOs to control parameters produces interesting results (or adding performance automation live or later for predictable results). The echoes reacting to the steps parameter is a great feature.Choikdoi wrote: Fri Jan 02, 2026 7:25 pm A new MIDI generator freebie:

Just adding a plus one to this.UncleAge wrote: Thu Aug 07, 2025 4:06 am Been almost a month since I picked up Fugue Machine Rubato for my ipad. I love it.

I have it driving internal and external synths (no drums yet). As soon as I got away from the presets and started rolling my own the fun set in. Since you can automate almost everything even simple phrases have a ton of different outcomes. The automation is independant from the note grid for all 8 playheads. Admittedly, I haven't used more than 5 so far.
I have a couple of days off coming up and I'll post a small vid, time permitting.
I mention it here because it's also available for MacOS. One license for all platforms I am told. Also, in Apple's Apps Store I paid $40 for the bundle since I already owned the 1st one. So my loyalty price was $40 not 80 or 90. If the developer can find a way to add probability to automation points or sequencing to the same points, he will have made a classic, imho. As always, ymmv...
Cheers,
Unc
Fugue machine Rubato is one of the best sequencers I've ever used. It's incredible.
It's also relatively cheap at the moment. Don't know if it's a permanent price drop but it's cheaper than when I last looked.

It certainly seems interesting, and would likely have been an instabuy for me, but I'm finding the UI too unpleasant to use with such low contrast and small font size on my monitors.kraster wrote: Fri Jan 30, 2026 12:23 pm Just adding a plus one to this.

added: remembered I have an app called "gamma control" that lets me easily adjust the color balance and that is helping a lot to make this readable.

I agree with the accessibility issues. Hard to use. Plus I'm on an Intel iMac so no plugins for me. I can run it stand alone, and route midi to different tracks in Bitwig, but it's a bit tedious
