Which ARP - hardware or software - is most programmable?

Am experimenting with Arpache (Cubase) and ModX6 arpeggiator at the moment. Want a hardware arpeggiator (Roland FA06 maybe?) or if no good a VSTi arpeggiator which fully programmable: Hit REC. Get a sequence. Play back arpeggiated.

Experiment across many genres right now, so must be more than EDM arp - make orchestral, guitar, piano and woodwind sound good as well.

In hardware, I’d suggest looking at the Midicake Arp

As for DAWs, I’ve never used another one as full featured as the MIDI arp plugin in Logic.
