Omnisphere, Dune 3, Serum 2 you could also maybe reach out to some devs for a job?

As you said yourself, the falcon library is one of your most succesful… might be, because there aren‘t many good 3rd party presets for it (compared to something like serum or pigments). especially none that doesn‘t focus on pads and soundscapes. and from what i read (and for myself) falcon is still quite popular.

and get well soon!

Indirectly, i like banks with
1. pads with short attack envelopes where the sound can be auditioned quickly. I hate waiting multiple seconds for a pad to evolve, as it's easy to change that as desired
2. Rhythmic sequences with ethnic and acoustic percussion sounds
3. pluks with a variety of timbres, durations and echos
4. Modwheel assigns that are moderate in effect as opposed to over-the-top when fully invoked.

SynthMaster One, Zebra2, Hive2, would tie for most welcome, followed by Zebra3 and Synthmaster 3. DS Thorn also could use sounds, and I have your Aparillo bank, so more would be nice. Will your previous sets be available in the interim? I've used Gumroad without issues in the past.
Get well! :hyper:
edit, forgot to mention Absynth 5 and I don't need/use detuned sounds

Thank you.
I don't really buy patch libraries myself but it's probably worth looking at sites like Loopmasters as you can probably search by VST to determine what the biggest sellers are and allocate your resources accordingly. Remember though that many of these are "flavour of the month" sounds so probably also worth looking at genres with more longevity, classic styles, etc.

Sorry to hear about the accident, glad you're making good progress and hope everything works out. It's a bad system where a man ruined physically can then be ruined economically by the healthcare institutions.
Loopmasters. Does that give the biggest synth sellers or the biggest library sellers?
It should indicate the most popular vsts by how many libraries are created for them

I would say you cannot go wrong with serum 2, diva or pigments as common used for music in the styles I like. Other styles of music might prefer others. Perhaps even consider making patches for a group of synths (eg various patches across synths in v collection).

I wish you the best for your recovery 🙏

There are also brand new synths like Ultra, but because its so new, its questionable that worth to make presets for it.... time will tell

Wow, lots of overnight responses. Thank you all. See, I ultimately knew this forum would come to my aid. When the chips are down, you guys are the best. I'm going to have to start logging these responses into a spreadsheet. I will make my decision by the end of the day today and start working on the first library tomorrow. You can still make suggestions because I won't be revealing what the library is until it's actually released. That way anybody who comes to the party late can still pick up a free copy if they hit the winning one Ans since I expect it will take weeks to finish it, that gives you plenty of time.

Thanks again.

Why not do a poll?

Wishing you a full and speedy recovery, Mr Tunes.

That was the first thing I thought of but then I'd have to include every synth I own. The poll would be ridiculously long. This way people can just name their synth and I write it down.

And yes, I do realize there are some plusses to having a poll. At the end of the day I just decided this way would work better.

I'd take the previous poster's recommendation a bit further into a potential longer term business strategy by monitoring the most popular recently upgraded synths for new features and pitch the fact that those new features are heavily featured in your preset packs.

Serum 2's granular and spectral engines, Omnisphere's new samples, FX, filters, and generally improved 'dirtiness', etc. Also Phase Plant is supposedly on the verge of an upgrade, so something to monitor.

Also being first to market for any newly released synths as well like the upcoming Zebra 3.

Dawesome is a great up and comer.
Kontrast has been mentioned but would add Kult and Myth/Zyklop to it as well.
And the Tracktion synths Biotek3 and F.'em.
Other great suggestions in this thread, but maybe consider their saturation point of sound developers already flooding them.
Popular can mean the last thing anyone needs another sound bank for.

Thank you for all your responses. I've got quite a list going. I have a feeling I'm going to be doing more than one library.

All the websites I'm buying soundbanks from are mainly focusing on Spire and Serum. Sometimes Omnisphere, Pigments and Sylenth1 also.

One example (sorted by popularity so you can see what people are actually buying) :

And every single time I'm getting an ad for a soundbank on Facebook, it's a Spire/Serum one also.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. :(

Serum, Pigments, Current.
