Studio Pro 8 installs a version of Visual C++ that renders Vegas (recent versions, at least) unable to launch.

I can confirm that your Vegas install is borked after installing Studio Pro 8.
I'm not pointing fingers at Fender. It's more likely a Magix problem.
The fix is a different version of the redistributable, not sure if newer or older than the one installed by Fender, but it does solve the problem in Vegas. Hasn't drastically affected Studio Pro 8, that I can tell. Proceed at your own risk!
The Vegas forum shows people with this issue as far back as October. That's why I say it's likely a Magix issue.

Just wanted to say thank you for the link with the fix. I spent many days trying to understand why both Vegas 20 and Vegas 23 crash during the launch. Would never guess it's because of the Studio One installation (and yes, I had this issue since I built my new PC in October).

No problem. I'm glad it was helpful to someone.
I read about it before I even realized it was a problem on my system. I just don't use Vegas that much, but I thought it was important to mention it on KVR for others with the issue.
