This pack is very special to me as it includes “The Cocoanuts” (1929), the first Marx Brothers film. It entered the public domain on January 1, 2025. I’ve been a huge fan of them since my childhood in the early 1960’s. I was very happy to work on that movie and share the results with you.

The second movie is a SciFi/Whodunnit movie from 1936 with Bela Lugosi. It’s a bit corny but still interesting. I think its dialogs sound better once extracted from the movie and out of context.

There’s also an episode of Space Patrol (if you like this, there are four more in MC 12 and one in MC 15), one from a police show and two TV ads, from 1965 and 1970 respectively.

The pack contains 746 samples for a size of 817 MB.
Introductory price is $6 USD (50% off) until Sep 8, 2025

First video demo, in 2 parts.
For this simple demo, I am using the AudioShare audio files manager app (iOS) and the iPad touchscreen to quickly jump from one sample to another. So most of the samples do not play for their full length. I sometimes jump back and forth between two samples, thus creating a jitter/stutter effect in realtime.

Part 1 mainly showcases the foleys and sfx samples
Part 2 mainly showcases the speech samples

Many of MC 16 samples are long as I've often kept bits of dialogs complete in order to keep their natural flow. Sometimes, shorter part(s) may be needed and extracting them from the longer samples in a classic audio editor will do the trick. But an interesting option is to use a slicer app, or a sampler with a slicing function.

These apps will automatically or manually cut any sample in slices. Each slice is assigned to a single specific key or pad of a MIDI controller. The slices can then be triggered individually and retain their original pitch.

In this video, I am demonstrating 2 examples of this using the Logic Pro sampler. A touch of reverb has been added.

Slices are created automatically based on the sensitivity slider and can then be adjusted manually.

And the follow-up to the previous one: Sonic Vignette 111 - Your Money’s No Good Here!

Cadet. - I am thinking

Cadet. - You wouldn’t like what I am thinking. Now get this straight, this oxygen has to last all 4 of us until the commandeer gets back. No one gets anymore
than the next man.
