Early congrats, and looking forward to another congratulations after the hand-sitting period is over!WatchTheGuitar wrote: Wed Jan 21, 2026 4:22 pmJust had my offer accepted on a house. It’s not any bigger in floor space than the one I’m renting now but it is detached so that’s a nice upgrade from a mid terrace which should mean no worried about annoying neighbours with my music or me getting annoyed by theirs.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Sun Nov 09, 2025 6:50 pm All purchases on the back burner until I finish exploring my greatest bit of GAS ever, the recent good luck I had with a pension fund I’d forgotten about seems to have made it possible to afford my own place for the first time, something I thought I’d lost the chance to do.
And if it all works out.. a lot more space for lovely gear in the future. Still months away but making progress.
And now I have been told there’s a bunch of hand sitting ahead as it takes months to get finalised.
Meanwhile I will have dreamy dreams about being able to house a real drum kit and a big old Ampeg bass amp etc.

Received a Vhikk X last week.
Had no spare time to do more than test it worked before heading away for 3 or 4 days.
It did but one of my Wasp filters didnt, so I need a new chip for that.
Got back, and thanks to some weirdness I need to spend several days completely reinstalling all software on my allegedly non-audio PC (that I'd also just added latest Protools, Live and a bunch of plugins to.)
Have even less time to do anything.
Maybe I'll get to play with some stuff next month. Or next year.
Also : added my name to the lists for the new Stylophone sampler and sequencer.

TD 3 AM arrived
Case feels like a plastic piece of shit, weighs nothing, but knobs are sturdy
Not going to complain at that price, acid heaven
Very quiet compared to modular, will need a proper mixer now...

I know, what a liberty!
Quick question for those in the know, I noticed that the Behringer Four Play module is on Amazon for under £40, could I use that as a mixer?
Putting one or two modular signals in, the Kobol and TD3 in the other 2 inputs, then the mix out into my soundcard?
Seems like a cheap/decent option.

basically, you should be able to... never tried it with external devices though.Seafire Mk2 wrote: Thu Jan 22, 2026 8:49 pm Quick question for those in the know, I noticed that the Behringer Four Play module is on Amazon for under £40, could I use that as a mixer?
Each channel has its own
output, which is mixed with channels to the
right if no output cable is inserted into that
channel output. If only the 4/Mix output
jack is connected the module operates as
a 4 into 1 mixer, which can be operated
manually using the Level controls, or voltage
controlled via the CV inputs

Checked with a stylophone drone synth, and a boardweevil together, first things to hand with live batteries and 3.5mm outs. seems to work fine.

The boost switch got me interested. Strangley, the Kobol has a hot output, so was quite shocked when the td3 seemed so quiet.
