I haven't used it yet, but from reviewing Fender Studio, I'm assuming the amp sims are on input so you can hear them while you're playing/recording. How many DAWs can do that? If you've tried it, lMK.

Crashiest version for me too. Sandboxing is a great idea, maybe my number 1 hope other than stability and better cpu efficiency.qtheerearranger wrote: Thu Jan 22, 2026 5:29 am daw is sick but stability wise this is the worst yet. i yearn for s1 to go sandboxing. stability is the only reason I don't adopt. I've got other gripes but I would classify them as minor.
For the time being I'll stick version 6 and treat 8 as an experimental playground for new ideas. I don't trust it yet to invest serious time into. Stress tests so far suggest (at least on my system) it can't handle heavier sessions.
They added something called Tonalic to this release, another toy to play around with. I can't wait for the ultimate plugin called 'make the music for me' but I guess that's what AI is for.

You can use Tonalic with Studio One 7, and it integrates nicely via ARA. Tonalic Essentials is free for Melodyne users, and it appears to be available for free with version Studio Pro 8 as well.nusound mind wrote: Thu Jan 22, 2026 7:10 pm They added something called Tonalic to this release, another toy to play around with. If you're being serious, I can and do that with literally every amp sim I own. How else would you record?jonljacobi wrote: Thu Jan 22, 2026 6:09 pm I haven't used it yet, but from reviewing Fender Studio, I'm assuming the amp sims are on input so you can hear them while you're playing/recording. Haha - Presonus still exists ya dumbf**k! You care because you were rambling on and on like you actually knew something about Fender...Yeah you got me there, I already knew about Kristal labs, I never used it, but good jobBONES wrote: Thu Jan 22, 2026 12:27 pm So f**king what? Presonus no longer exists. Who f**king cares what they did or didn't make? They certainly didn't create Studio One, they bought a German company who had already done the work. So why aren't you pissed off that it's not called Kristal Labs Studio One? Why did Presonus have to steal its identity in 2009 when they bought the company?
Then explain to me how Fender Studio predates Studio Pro by 5 years or so? Fender Studio was released in 2021, when the entry level version of Studio One was still available for free and the Artist version was still being sold. So how does that fit with your bullshit? You need to grow the f**k up and stop behaving like a spoiled five year-old. It's a new version of the same product we've all been using for years, what brand is on it makes absolutely no difference to that or anything else.
It doesn't predate it, Fender Studio was released in 2025 ya f**kin moron! I'd say you need to grow the f**k up and stop being a whiny little bi**h worrying about what other people use.
I already said it's a capable DAW, rebranding is not the only change, but your blood is boiling over someone’s negative opinion of a corporate direction. Don’t have a heart attack guy…I'll leave it here, doubt you can, but there ya go.

I guess you’re hurt because how dare anyone express a negative opinion about Servco…Why, did I attack you for using it? I merely expressed my opinion, I guess that hurts…thievedletter wrote: Fri Jan 23, 2026 2:17 amTalk about irony...musicalwarmth812 wrote: Fri Jan 23, 2026 1:30 am I'd say you need to grow the f**k up and stop being a whiny little bi**h worrying about what other people use.

No it doesn't, it's part of Fender now, has been for years. It's just a meaningless, dead brand.
I went to the trouble of getting myself informed before posting. You should try the same some time. You care because you were rambling on and on like you actually knew something about Fender...
Yep, you're nothing but a garden variety hypocrite.Yeah you got me there, I already knew about Kristal labs, I never used it, but good job
OK and what year is it now? So you can argue about the date (and you'll still be wrong) but you're still admitting Fender Studio predates Studio Pro. You've still got no leg to stand on.It doesn't predate it, Fender Studio was released in 2025 ya f**kin moron!
There, I fixed that up for you.I'd say I need to grow the f**k up and stop being a whiny little bitch but you've already said that for me.
And I asked to point some out to us but you have so far not managed to come up with any, it would seem.I already said it's a capable DAW, rebranding is not the only change

Do you even know what Servco is? Do you know their history? They've been in the music business even longer than Fender. They bought out a venture capital group, TPG, to protect Fender. That's made them the largest shareholder but they don't own Fender. Again, it pays to do your research, lest you make a complete dick of yourself.musicalwarmth812 wrote: Fri Jan 23, 2026 2:31 amI guess you’re hurt because how dare anyone express a negative opinion about Servco…Why, did I attack you for using it? Servco are the majority shareholder and therefore the majority owner of Fender. They literally do own Fender, as most of us understand the word.BONES wrote: Fri Jan 23, 2026 12:34 pm They bought out a venture capital group, TPG, to protect Fender. ( and also, re. TPG’s Fender investment, there’s a difference between VC and Private Equity, Fender is/was a decades-old company)

Ack - apparently they tried to improve the messy take-system and made it even much worse! It's a complete disaster at this point.
Right now I'm having buyer's remorse even though I only paid CHF70 for the update (from V5 in my case).
