Simple, list the name of someone's backing band, and everyone else has to guess the name of the artist.
For example, if someone posts "The Heartbreakers" the answer is Tom Petty. And a couple of other bands from the 50s and 60s I can't remember.

Is that Mylie Cyrus for the Flaming Lips?mumpcake wrote: Thu Jan 22, 2026 11:10 pm Simple, list the name of someone's backing band, and everyone else has to guess the name of the artist.

Edit: the Lips had a different name when they collaborated.
Ringo Starr for his all Starr band. And The Coral Reefer Band is that bloke whose hsongs are all about getting stoned on an island beach, but his actual name eludes me

Ouch to making T-Rex Marc Bolan's backing band. Same for the Velvets - good thing Lou is not around to read that!
Same goes for the Faces - Rod was just the singer.

The Flaming Lips is a band, not a backing band.
