or as i suggested earlier, has gone truly evil and is just ruining xmas.
I am of course not a god, nor would I ever claim that. But I have a pretty solid amount of behind the scenes info (faxinadu even more so) that I can make educated guesses with.

And also, I did have a bit of a shit Xmas this year, so there's that... :P

Right, back to Absynth :) The big leads in this track are Surge and OB-Xf but Absynth is doing a few interesting parts. They lines from Absynth are actually labeled there in the track names :)

Bravo  Sounds excellent

Are samples embedded within preset files or do we have to do the thing where we have the samples in the same folder as the presets?

Post

Referenced. Samples should be in any of the sample content folders and they will be resolved on preset load.

Ah, okay, just like the good ole' days. So, install instructions will be necessary for custom samples.

I think I'm finally beginning to understand people's frustration with the preset metadata situation where presets won't appear unless they have metadata that reveals them to Absynth's browser.

And apparently you can't edit the metadata directly within the plugin, but you can edit the metadata within Komplete Kontrol...? I can't think of anything more unappealing than using a second application to edit this information just so presets will appear in a preset browser.

Please tell me this is going to change.

Post

I certainly hope so

Although Massive X needs this change too and has had the same problem since it was released

So fortunately I went to the user library after finding that I'd lost my pre-2023 work in Absynth and d'l'd what I had posted years ago (lot of it is still a good starting point). I returned to it the next day (day two of Absynth 6) and there's only 12 sort of pictures with titles, 10 of them the same pointless image with meaningless text, that do literally nothing. There's "Want to share your presets?" and below that only a link to log into the forum. What an absolute botch. same thing today.

Our cinematic themed Absynth 6 expansion Resonant Worlds is alive!

You probably want the user library archive, converted for A6, here: https://community.native-instruments.co ... -absynth-6

You have no idea how happy it makes me to know people are still making trance!

 In that case, one more for you then :) All sounds in the track other than drums are Absynth, specifically our presets.

Uran I is a deep collection of atmospheric sounds for Absynth 6, focused on what Absynth does best: evolving, expressive, and transformative soundscapes.

Now on sale for $29.

These are possibly the best Absynth patches I’ve ever heard — for that matter, patches for any synth ever. I spend so much time playing with the macros, and I haven’t even started poking around under the hood. They’re all beautiful, evocative, and different.
— Brian Clevinger, creator of Absynth

I listened and sounded good to me.
Are there any better presets available?
