Just got a 60% off crossgrade offer for d16 Pulsatec, bringing it down to $35. That’s no-brainer territory and I like their plugins, but do I really need another EQ? Hmmmmm…

I don’t see it mentioned here, though. Anybody using it and how does it measure up? The built-in RTA is a nice touch.

Without a HP and LP this is worthless to me.

I get that to a degree, but isn't the Pultec a passive EQ? Making a curve in a parametric EQ wouldn't be the same?

I'm sure something like Pro-Q could account for that in some way, but I wouldn't know.

A passive er cannot boost at all. It boosts by reducing the gain across all other bands

I'm aware. I didn't say boost, however. I said pushed, as in pushed into.

I use Nomad Factory and UAD ones most, both sound great to me. Different timbres though

Which Pultec do you prefer?
