Here are three FX units I made in JUCE. I offer them for free precompiled as VST3 for Windows, but also have attached the source code next to the plugins in the downloads, so you can also freely compile them on Mac or Linux!
The first is a bandpass modulator: This kind of effect is very prominent in psytrance music, and interestingly also in old workstation synths from the 90s/2000s (i.e. Korg Triton).
The unique feature of it is that the filter jumps can be locked to notes instead of any random frequency. After I made the video, I also added Note Lock functionality to support sharp notes.
The second is a polyphonic Resonator that works using 100+ parallel bandpass filters. You can choose on which octaves and notes it should be active, and it can phase cancel the original sound so you hear only the metallic resonances. I recommend filtering the signal with your favourite EQ afterwards.
And finally the third one is a 129-band comb filter where the frequencies can be spread evenly either in equal intervals to get metallic sounds, or multiplicatively to get FM-like tones.
Download: aquanode.gumroad.com
Small disclaimer: I relied on AIs to help me with coding, but putting everything together from the general idea, project management, compiling and testing I did myself.

I haven't seen a plugin as cool as multi-comp in a long time... I hope development continues and it gets even more refined... However, it's already a great plugin.

I d'loaded the Compressinator, and once I moved past the Opto it is rather cool. I am not so obsessed with old models but ultimately, even if one only uses one mode ever, the way it feels is v good. Many compressors may be technically right at the math but they don't have a good ballistic feel, these do. Normally, I wouldn't ever load, let alone use, a Muti-Band but this was nice as a WTF bonus.neverbeeninariot wrote: Mon Jan 26, 2026 9:26 pm https://luna-co-software.github.io/luna ... github.io/
A console EQ, multi-compressor...
I had it running in Reason 13 for a while with no apparent issues.

Here is another 100% free and open source plugin from me (again with the help of AIs while coding but idea, putting everything together and testing from me)
Springer is a algorithmic Spring Reverb Delay with up to 7 coils that uses phase dispersion to create the classic springy dub sounds, but a bit more artificial since its not trying to be a physically realistic model. That said, you can change parameters that on a real spring would refer to thickness, length, interference, resistance and so on.
See it in action:
And this video shows only the pure impulse response outputs from an earlier version where pitch was not yet changeable, but it is included in the download:
Download (simply put in $0 in the payment option):
