Hello, i have a plugin idea. What are the right steps to take in order to see my plugin realized without any problem?

1. Pay 200 000 euro to make someone do it for you
2. Tell everyone and it may happen.
3. Forget it and it may happen anyway if it's a got idea.
So the best is to pay some one to do it or dream on and die with it in the grave and still have hope

You are absolutely correct but unfortunately i don't feel like i could go from a complete coding noob to a final product , even with AI. Is there any second best option ?

You could use Flowstone or SynthEdit,
to visually assemble one
Graphical programming is much easier

I wonder what I want in here

Thank you for your honest reply. Unfortunately i don't have 200 000 euro and even if i had i could be giving it to the wrong person. If i say everything out loud i am afraid of somebody will steal the idea. I guess i am just trying to find a person that i can trustxos wrote: Mon Jan 26, 2026 10:53 pm 1. Thank you for your suggestion. I am afraid that even if i could do a working unit would be nothing close to what a talented person here could do in a second.nix808 wrote: Tue Jan 27, 2026 2:57 am You could use Flowstone or SynthEdit,

I know it is not saying much, but i believe the idea sells itself and is a big deal. I really hope i can find the right person here.

It could be an interesting learning experience,ShredofLight wrote: Tue Jan 27, 2026 3:44 am Thank you for your suggestion. I am afraid that even if i could do a working unit would be nothing close to what a talented person here could do in a second.
if you would like to involve yourself in plugin dev
A trick is to use the modules written by the capable/talented people
You could do it I bet!
I don't want the work,
I won't steal your idea though
-if you want to send it to me in a pm
I can tell you if it's easy in Flowstone(no Mac compatibility though)
I could ask if anyone wants to do it at Flowstone Discord

As far as i can tell it would be easy for a talented person to develop the midi version. The audio version perhaps could come after as it seems more difficult to achieve but totally possible from what i see other plugins do. About mac compatibility i don't know how harder it makes things but it would be great to have it, linux even. The way i see it ( and i know it is not saying much) everybody will want to use it because it will make literally everything sound better independent of what style of music they play. I can easily see it implemented directly in hardware like synths and even other instruments like winds or brass will benefit from others using it with them. And it is not EQ , modulation, effect or anything of the kind . I know it sounds absurd but i guess somebody will have to trust me as much as i will have to trust them!

If it sells itself and it's a big deal, and if you're incapable of building it yourself, find a seed investor and/or get a bank loan. You don't have to have 200k available in your bank account. It would be kinda rude to expect someone else to build it for you for free/cheap and/or take on the risk by investing their time, if it's so valuable.ShredofLight wrote: Tue Jan 27, 2026 4:28 am I know it is not saying much, but i believe the idea sells itself and is a big deal. Note however that ideas are a dime a dozen anyway, and basically worthless. If it's a good idea but it doesn't exist yet, you can bet there are more capable people out there who had that idea already, and dismissed it for whatever reason, or it's on someone's someday/maybe list but they didn't get to it yet. If you follow through, your advantage isn't the idea, but the fact you took the risk and followed through, while others did other things that kept them from following through with that particular idea.
So try not to be the idea guy, try to be the builder. Doesn't mean you have to learn coding. You can also learn how to start and run a business that hires coders instead.

Go back to the readme and read it again, you seem to be doing the exact opposite of what it instructs you to do. Let me precis for you:ShredofLight wrote: Tue Jan 27, 2026 3:56 amYes i did, I kept it vague in hopes of finding a good samaritan to lead me in the right direction.
- you will need a professional developer
- they will need to make a living - so you will have to pay realistic rates - thats going to be more than they can earn at MacDonalds...
- nearly every pro developer has a book full of ideas, you need to convince them to do your idea not one of theirs.
