Oh jee! The African Month - and I don't remember we would have had one since a half decade or so.
It begins with a little trouble though. I don't know how do I get where I want my track to land.

CHARACTERISTICS OF AFRICAN MUSIC
Polyrhythms: Different meters or metrical starting points going on at once.
Ostinato: A short musical pattern that repeats over and over.
Use of Percussion: Drums, rattles, bells, xylophones, and the mbiras.
Background Shimmer: Often attaches beads, coins, and other small objects to their instruments to create a constant buzzing or rattling in the background.
Close Connection with Music and Language: Combination of pitch that represents spoken syllables and form a kind of speech illustrate the close association between music and words.
Participatory Nature of the Arts: Music is something everyone does.
A Close Connection Between the Performing Arts: A song is considered poetry and dance thus African cultures imply that a musical performance will include singing and dancing.
Responsorial Form: An exchange between a single performer's vocal or instrumental call a group response.

You might want to select a traditional African genre that uses guitar and bass and the instruments of the free Kontakt libraries. The web gives several lists of trad African genres for you to listen.

A roll of the dice turned up Cameroon and that led to Douala and a variety of guitar picking and rhythms...makossa has been influenced by many styles and also had an impact on modern dance music, including Michael Jackson...I even got a trumpet solo in there.

No it's not, but your passive aggressive question is typical of when 'FL' is mentioned...modern African rhythms are repetitive in their nature...hence why the influence is transferable to Western dance music.
FLEX has extensive packs that include percussion elements that took a while to construct, vocal notes are generated in midi then manipulated in ACE with lyrics/expression, the trumpet is a playable instrument in Kontakt.

The question arose from me not knowing any better about the apps you mentioned. Nothing to do with FL Studio, it's a DAW. Is this assumption because it was initially called Fruity Loops? I've heard it used to great effect on guitar based music. Nothing to do with the FL moniker.
So, Flex is a virtual instrument. ACE Is an app where midi is played and then converted and edited to vocals? The trumpet is a Kontakt instrument played from a controller. I get it now.
