the logic plugins are great, but i dove into 3rd-party ones some years ago, and live 95% of the time on those. still, it's all subjective. what do you need?
I use the fabfilter eq, comp, limiter etc; shaperbox 3, the valhalla reverbs and delays... there are so many options!

First of all, it would help if you narrowed it down a bit. For instance, are you wanting different dynamics tools, EQ's, and other mixing effects, or are you interested in more creative and special effects?dasen wrote: Tue Jan 27, 2026 7:42 pm What 3rd party FX plugins to consider if logic stock plugins are not enough?
Logic's stock effects already cover quite a bit of territory, but I can understand needing or wanting something additional. Here's a fairly extensive list of developers that I consider to be powerful and reliable. They're the ones that create the high-quality, 3rd-party effects that I use inside of Logic on a regular basis, but not all at once:
Minimal Audio, Kilohearts, Devious Machines, Cableguys, Soundtoys, Lunacy Audio, FabFilter, Zynaptiq, Eventide, Newfangled Audio, GS DSP, Baby Audio, Arturia, Nuro Audio, FKFX Audio, Brainworx, Unfiltered Audio, Valhalla DSP, Sugar-Bytes, Sinevibes, Dawesome Music, Glitchmachines, and a partridge in a pear tree lol!!

You know, I intentionally left out any recommendations for NI or iZotope effects, after taking into consideration the unfortunate news that's got the internet on fire right now. But you're right, and I forgot that Brainworx is also involved in this debacle. That's my bad.
But to be fair, it's hard to keep up with all of the mergers and buyout B.S. that's been making life more complicated for us iZotope, NI, and Brainworx customers. I try not to pay too much attention to the drama, unless it affects my ability to actually still use these plug-ins. And I really love some of the Brainworx stuff.
So no harm, no foul. But you make a good point.
