I'm pretty certain there will not be any AI stuff in DP12 when it comes out. MOTU are proud dinosaurs.![]()

I'm not sure what more DP needs. Newer VIs? A better routing system? Certainly not AI to do the creative parts for you.
I don't know what's taking MOTU so long? but Windows bugs could be a big one, their reps say the Windows adoption is is growing despite a rep for bug. I'm not sure what could happen to the routing system to make it better? AU as a MIDI FX slot had some serious limitations when it came to drum machines and instruments with sequencers previous to Logics update that allows MIDI routing between plugins. You couldn't send MIDI from Maschine, MPC, Reaktor plugins etc. without losing the ability for the instrument to actually play sounds internally without using AIC etc. I like the way Logic deals with multi instruments though, after initially wondering WTF is going on? why are there now 8 versions of Kontakt??
I think like most people who are familiar with a DAW I could give you a list. Clips still don't show up in the Drum Editor, there is no external instrument plugin, the FX are good but the instrument plugins are simple and cheesy, the Content Browser seems partially done especially compared to other DAWs, VST3 implementation really only seems to work in the cases where it's absolutely needed like ARA on Apple Silicon etc.
Personally what would save this upgrade to me is if Apple somehow decided to allow Logic to use Efficiency cores, I have an M2 Studio Ultra, and the 8 efficiency cores means that Reaper and DP11 beat the snot out of Logic in track count, it's a solid jump. Definitely something they would do without announcing it, and unfortunately highly unlikely since it hasn't caused a ruckus. I'm also curious as to whether 12 will be a paid upgrade for owners of 11? that's the big elephant in the room, especially for those of us that use Logic as a back up DAW.
