Looks like Saverio is yet again resurrecting old customers emails and continuing the Email spam. Unsubscribe isn't working at all yet again. I've forwarded the annoyance to a few legal entities here though I assume it'll just get lost in the minimal general complaints.

Anybody got experience with one of those 3rd party companies that force websites to remove all personal data?

Oh and I've got about 3 Hornet plugins to sell/give away for free. I want absolutely nothing to do with this company ever again. The plugins are pretty much terribly coded and constantly prone to crashing so basically useless. If there ever was a company I will now go actively forth in NOT ever recommending, it is this one.

I've never had such issues with any other company ever. Unsubscribing form emails is usually extremely simple. This is the only one that keeps sending them no matter what.

EDIT: Anybody got Saverios personal email? PM me if you do. I'd like to have a few words with the dude. I do see him on Facebook but I ain't gona risk it that way yet.

You could always just block their e-mail address.

Yeah that's definitely one way to go. It'd be a first for a legit audio company though. I've never had this kind of issue before where I can go years without receiving spam and then suddenly my email is yet again on a list. A few companies I've had to contact directly to ask them to remove my email and my request has always been honored. Heck, even Saverio seemed to honor that for a few years last time I ranted about this but guess he just hit some reset button and added everybody again.

Anyhow, I've now done the full data removal request on my account. I'm rather interested in seeing if this works. Means that I lost all access to the plugins so no more plugins to sell.. but I suspect even this won't work. We'll see. No real loss here as I've completely given up on ever using any Hornet plugins as they are so badly coded.

No idea what you mean regarding the spam... this months I only got 34 e-mails from Saverio so far...

Can't generally agree with them being badly coded though.

Hi, if the unsubscribe system is not working please send me you email address and we'll make sure to add it to our general mail blacklist ad you won't receive email anymore.
If you have issues with plugin please let me know so we can fix them

Nah, that's not true Saverio. I bought Master Tool a couple of years ago, extremely buggy. It never sees any use because it just won't work as expected and also crashes my DAW (Reaper). I sent you an email back then but I lost hope. It could have been useful for band practice recordings, but no.

Me neither. I really like HoRNet Thrust and HoRNet SyncPressor.

Exactly the same bad experience. Once bought a piece of software 20 years ago (was like 5.-, but bad / buggy and not worth a cent, could not test back then). Of course i ignored him since / unsubscribed, but he constantly puts my Email back in his list which is a questionable practice.

They are so annoying. I like the idea of their plugins but they are such an eye sore.

Once bought a plugin that i tested too late and then totally did not work correct. updating to mk4 did not help.

We've gone through this many times before.. last time, about 3 years ago, you SWORE I was taken off any email lists completely (after I told you I'd take legal action). That was true for exactly 3 years.. then I suddenly started getting them again.

I have spoken with colleagues who also got your spam and have many times tried to unsubscribe from your spam list.. without success. Some of them have even tried contacting you per email over the years, all of them ending up using 3rd party solutions to automatically forward your emails into the trash or if they were lucky enough to use Gmail, report it as spam and be done with it.

Needless to say, all of the people I know personally who have dealt with your email bullshit think your company is 100% a scam and have never purchased anything again from you. I don't think you realize the damage you are causing.

We've even had some half-joking banter over a few beers considering legal action as you are in the EU and you should abide by EU laws but you obviously do not. So far it's only been an internal joke, making fun of your brand and plugins.

As I stated earlier. I now used the option in the Hornetplugins user account to DELETE my whole account and take all my personal information off it. I truly do hope that system works.. because if I do get any more spam from your company I will file a report with my local representative here who hopefully forwards it to whatever powers EU oversight may hold. Probably won't do much but at least there's another mark in a book somewhere of the abuse your company is doing.

Going through my inbox, looks like he sends out an email every day, sometimes more than one.
That being said, it's nice to know I'm not the only one critical of HoRNet's plugins. Saverio's heart is in the right place; I appreciate all the freebies and discounts he offers along with his politeness and willingness to interact with the community, but he would really benefit from some extra help. I've tried a lot of plugins from HoRNet and most of them have had issues with distortion, random crackling or intense cpu spikes. A metering plugin should not make my audio sound like it's being ran through a bitcrusher. GUIs definitely need work too, or at least a different color scheme.
