Quite a few reaktor synths and effects on the user library by Bolle are what i guess i would call reskins. They are larger crisp and more modern looking. Sorry don't know how to post pictures.

Sounds good to me!EvilDragon wrote: Fri Jan 09, 2026 6:58 am Redoing literally the whole UI of Reaktor would be years. Allowing just the ensemble front panels to connect to a different UI toolkit that allows HiDPI graphics etc (which is exactly what was done in Kontakt already) would be an easier undertaking. So, the actual building part of Reaktor would stay the same, but the user facing edit part would be spruced up.

I always figured this is what people meant when they want reaktor to have a "modern GUI". I'm fine with old GUIs myself. For editing and panels. I'd rather not have to take into account my GPU when making music.EvilDragon wrote: Fri Jan 09, 2026 6:58 am Redoing literally the whole UI of Reaktor would be years. Wow, the only thing in any NI thread I have read recently that actually makes sense. Hopefully one day they teach the NI saga in colleges around the world, unreal loss of IP.oobesan wrote: Sun Dec 28, 2025 5:31 am According to Benn Jordan, NI isn't owned by Francisco Partners any more. He says they defaulted on the loan, and the bank who loaned them the money packaged it up along with a bunch of other trash and sold it off for pennies on the dollar to yet another private equity group not named. So, if he is right, NI is a bit adrift at the moment...

That sounds like the Bridgepoint/Bain deal that was in place last December but was apparently never completed for reasons no one really knows. I'm not an expert in these things, but yeah, Native Instruments apparently had negotiated an acquisition with UK-based private equity firm Bridgepoint Group Holdings Limited and US creditor Bain Capital...and either one or more parties pulled out or something else happened, but regardless, it was never finalized.oobesan wrote: Sun Dec 28, 2025 5:31 am According to Benn Jordan, NI isn't owned by Francisco Partners any more. Who knows, maybe the deal is still in place and the insolvency proceedings just temporarily postponed the acquisition, but I've heard people who at least claim to be legal experts characterize the Bridgepoint/Bain deal as having "fallen through".

I think we know the future of Reaktor now, as in it doesn't have one.

Well, not necessarily.

I’m pretty sure Reaktor will get a worthy successor at some point. Even if NI lets it stagnate, the underlying idea of a modular DSP sandbox is too important to disappear.wagtunes wrote: Thu Jan 29, 2026 9:46 am I think we know the future of Reaktor now, as in it doesn't have one.

Actually... in discussion with a friend we found a way to scrape the Reaktor user library for all 6000+ download links and pasted them into txt files by category/subcategory. Using DownThemAll! extension for your browser, it's possible to import each individual .txt file and just let it rip through the list!

Edit: scratch that. Didn't see your follow up postOf course there is. If someone can bulk download all of Spotify, someone could bulk download Reaktor User Library.

I can provide all the scraped download links, the thing is huge. I'm halfways through and it's already about 40 GB of content.
