The amalgamation of Dimension Pro and Rapture is very cool....
They had a few glaring missteps with that one, but in the end it was pretty useful.
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

PSYN is way down on my list. I'd rather see Rapture Pro, Pentagon, Z3TA, Drop Zone, RXP, and even the Groove Synth done first.

Dimension Pro and Z3TA+ would be my first call for resurrection, but without Rene's involvement, they would be just tinkling at the edges...

He was the genius behind those synths (including PSYN) as well as the sfz format and you need a guy with the smarts to be the spark....

When Elvis left the building, the show was never the same 🙏

As much as a pioneer as Rene was, I don’t think it would take an elite coder to do the things they need to do to update these synths.

I wasn't really referring to the coding...

I was saying that you need a smart guy with vision 🌞

Well, I still have all the old cakewalk stuff Project5 1.5 & 2.0 & also Kinetic 2 are favorites... Z3TA+ & especially Z3TA+2 as good as anything out there, Rapture rocks for sure...

Digging I thought I did have a VSTi version of PSYN II, yup... Here inside LUNA which only does VST no DX-

Yeahhh, By itself it does sound a bit thin but the sounds other than that sound actually pretty fresh you just need to spend time hooking up the correct plug to make it bigger & it doesn't hafta be something 'super special & expensive' here the freeware LFX-1310 does wonderful work in simple fashion & all in a fraction of the resource of new power synths which by what they use up they'd BETTER sound good...

oh that's interesting

-you don't want to sell the VST do you?
I might want it

IMO the ui is very artful,
it appeals to my aesthetic
I wonder what I want in here
-my site is gone and music a mess

It is pretty cool... I have chosen it as one of my synths for the 'Under 50 MB Music Workstation' project which is to have DAW-VSTi-VST all in portable fashion yet all total under 50 MB... Psyn is on the larger size for this, may have to go... For the DAW I am using the non-expiring beta of Sonicbytes Phrazor & since I'm using it standalone only I can delete the two DLLs to save space... One of the better synths is the last beta of Helix which sounds great & less than a 600 KB DLL... So of course no samples allowed & synthedit plugs are shunned for their larger sizes...
