I have all my Plugins on my mac in my HD>Library>Audio>PLugins>VST Folder. It looks like Cubase loads them up on its own without me have to Update the plugin list or anything. But almost half of the plugins I've got in there it doesn't recognize. I tried updating in the plugin information thing and that doesn't help. I've got all these plugins and it wont even list them. Do I have to do something to get them recognized or will they just not work?
And while I'm here, how do I send MIDI channels through VST effects? It doesn't look like you can like in FL.

are you sure they are all vst plugins? and they are loading up in the right folder?
the synths don't show up in the 'insert' channel menus, and the effects don't show up in the VST instrument dialog, also.
you can use the automation by pressing the little plud button by the channel the effects are on.
to controll them by midi controllers you need to configure it in the generic remote dialog in device setup

No I mean run a synth through an effect. Like I have a synth playing and I want to run a distortion vst on it. Like how in FL you run the channels through FX. And all my plugins are in the right folder as I described above and they are VSTs.

It won´t help you, but I can´t help saying it´s because of headaches like those you mention I´ve moved to Tracktion, http://www.kvraudio.com/get/358.html
Since the switch, I actually look forward to do some sequencing...

when you've got a synth cued up, if you look to the left of the sequencer you will see all little horizontal channel's, and then a bigger panel to the far left.Just Float wrote:No I mean run a synth through an effect. in the sequencer window, select the synth in the vst folder and then put your effects into the black rectangular boxes under the "inserts" tab in the left big panel.
