“Parted, Yet Apart” EP Release

“Parted, Yet Apart” is a fusion of electronic and acoustic elements.

The title track emphasizes layered synthesizer sounds, accompanied by a driving Zendrum part and anchored by the NS Chapman Stick. Electric guitar leads and textures interact with three synthesizer tracks, including the Soma Flux playing the flute-like lead part.

“The Crossing” features a trio of LinnStrument (sampled acoustic guitar), Korg Wavedrum Global for tabla sounds, and the Soma Flux, a modern rendition of the theremin for the lead sound.

The Dragon Suite delves into the Dragonfly DF10A Nylon String Tapping Guitar. I experimented with mixing microphones and direct recording on parts II and III.

I saw you posted something new and I said to myself, "Hot damn. Gotta listen to this. All 8 minutes of it."

I was not disappointed. Right out of the psychedelic 60s, I'm thinking 13th Floor Elevators or maybe even early Doors.

"Parted, Yet Apart": This song develops slowly, building a "scene." The playful bass,
in particular, which constantly plays very different licks and transitions, is very well
done!

At 3:40 there seems to be a kind of break: The energy decreases somewhat, the
"scenery" calms down - the hectic activity transitions into a more tranquil state.
The overall groove becomes more experimental, jazzier. The ending itself begins
at 7:00 - a long ending!

Great song, lots of ideas, a fantastic, compelling groove.

Thank you! It started as an ambient synth piece and then went off in a few different directions.
