We are starting 2026 with a release I have been looking forward to sharing for quite some time. It has been slow-brewing in the sound lab for months, and is finally ready: Luftrum 34 for Omnisphere 3.

This is a carefully crafted set of 128 patches including 18 multis, shaped by atmospheric detail and subtle motion, with a focus on sounds that open up and feel alive as you play, rather than remaining static. The set moves fluidly between ambient and electronic territories from the synth-driven worlds of Vangelis and Rival Consoles to the hazy melodies of Boards of Canada, Jon Hopkins and Röyksopp.

As a bonus, it comes with an additional set of 42 selected mutations, created using the new Omnisphere 3 Mutation feature. We generated over 600 mutations of Luftrum 34 and distilled them down to the 42 most inspiring sounds. These are included as a separate special set titled Luftrum 34 Mutations.

There's a YouTube walkthrough below and several demos so you can hear exactly how the patches breathe.

Want to see Luftrum 34 in action? Vulture Culture did a massive deep dive playthrough that covers it all. It's an extensive session (1h 22m) but the level of detail is worth the watch.

this might be a dumb question but why is it $50? Seems like a lot for 128 patches no?

I really like their patches a lot just never seen them priced so high. Was wondering if I was missing something or not.

Omnisphere 3 itself costs about $499 and already ships with over 14,000 patches created by a large team of professional sound designers over many years.

Charging $50 for 200 presets means you’re paying a higher price per patch than for the entire Omnisphere factory library, which makes no sense from a value perspective.

At that ratio, this pack is effectively priced like Omnisphere itself which is unrealistic for a third-party preset bank. A fair price would be in the $15–$20 range, not $50.

Well friends, it's totally fair to ask but $49 is not new for me, I have priced my soundsets at that level for well over a decade (!) and they have sold extremely well.

At the end of the day, I price my work based on what I believe it's worth. For soundsets I typically use a formula at $0.35 per preset, rounded up or down (depending on extra content included or not). I don't think I ever published that formula before, but now you know! It works for me and I am not going to apologize for valuing my craft. This is my full-time living, not a side project.

That said, if the price is a bit too high, you can always subscribe to the newsletter and get 20% off - that puts this release down $39. Many others also choose to wait and grab my sets during seasonal sales.
