I wouldn't be suprised if people hired live musicians to play ai songs in the future and that was the norm.

"Trust me, bro" and "Trust Spotify" is on the same level as "Trump must be a good president because he won the election". You have no point.

As expected, you can't provide a single AI track that is so good it can fool every human listener, including me - which is the bare minimum for "professional".
Tiles wrote: Thu Jan 29, 2026 7:44 pm AI-generated music is widespread on Spotify, and that alone shows that AI has already reached professional-level quality.
No. Not even remotely. That is stupid.
Tiles wrote: Thu Jan 29, 2026 7:44 pm That’s why I say there’s no single example necessary.
You simply don't want to admit how bad AI is.
Tiles wrote: Thu Jan 29, 2026 7:44 pm You’ve almost certainly already heard the kind of music you’re asking for here, without even noticing it.
Evading my demands does not work. If you can't provide proof you're talking bullshit.
Tiles wrote: Thu Jan 29, 2026 7:44 pm That said, your response makes it clear that no counterexample would be acceptable to you.
"How dare you not believing everything I say!" - said everyone ever who tried to sell me some crap or convince me to join their cult. Never worked, never will.

You're shitting your pants because I might be able to take your example apart and point exactly at all the artifacts, from composition to mixing. That's why you refuse to provide proof. You know very well how much AI sucks. If you would truly believe that AI was that good you would have provided an example. So technically you're not talking bullshit - you are lying.
Now I’m a liar? Cute.

I pointed you to the millions of daily uploads on Spotify, documented by an article. That’s evidence of scale, not a claim that hinges on cherry-picked examples. That alone demonstrates that AI has already reached professional-level adoption.

Yet you keep demanding such a single example, as if that would somehow invalidate an entire market reality. And when I refuse to play along with that absurd premise, you immediately get personal. Predictable.

Your reasoning is on the level of standing in front of Hollywood and insisting that no movie can be considered successful unless someone handpicks one film that satisfies you personally. That’s not skepticism. It’s intellectual bankruptcy.

If something dominates a professional market, it is professional level. That’s not a matter of opinion, it’s literally what the term means. The fact that this needs to be explained already says enough.

Anyway, thanks for making this easy. The moment you had to resort to personal attacks, you confirmed that you ran out of arguments. I’m not interested in feeding trolls, so this ends here.

It does. AI does not end with the one click solution Suno or Udio. Also you do mastering :)

Just to give you an idea:

One-click generators like Suno or Udio replace the musician: you give a prompt and get a complete song back, often including vocals and arrangement.

Vocal and instrument synthesis tools such as Synthesizer V or ACE Studio perform as the musician. They don’t write the song for you, but they sing or play parts you’ve composed.

There’s also voice conversion / voice cloning, which lets you make an existing vocal track sound like another singer, e.g., “Frank Sinatra.” LALAL.AI Voice Cloning, Vozart.ai, etc. Or offline: RVC (Retrieval-based Voice Conversion) and sovits.

Jam and co-creation tools like Tunee (and research projects such as ReaLJam) play with the musician. They listen to what you play and respond with musical ideas, variations, or accompaniment in an interactive, human-in-the-loop way.

Composition assistants like Magenta or Hookpad help you think. They suggest melodies, harmonies, or structure, but don’t aim to produce a finished track on their own.

Audio restoration and cleanup tools (for example iZotope RX, Adobe Enhance, Acon Digital, or partially Lalal.ai) repair audio. They remove noise, clicks, distortion, or other problems from existing recordings.

Stem separation and analysis tools such as Moises, Demucs, Spleeter, or AudioJam dissect audio. They break songs into stems, detect tempo and chords, or prepare material for remixing and practice.

Mixing and mastering tools like LANDR, iZotope Ozone, or Sonible polish the result, optimizing loudness, balance, and tonal quality.

Sound design and experimental tools (for example Magenta NSynth or diffusion-based FX systems) create or transform sounds rather than songs.

This is what we mean when we talk about AI and music. It’s a bit of a shame that these discussions so often end up focusing on Suno. AI in music is not just about throwing a prompt at a model. And even Suno itself has long moved beyond being a simple one-click song generator.

And as a final note: I don’t use Suno. No AI can express the feelings I have when writing a song. But I don’t condemn anyone who does. Music creation has always existed on a spectrum. From easy to complex, from tools like Music Maker to playing your own instrument. Suno simply adds another option to that spectrum.

I was just saying this to someone a month ago...the only commerce left for musicians will be cover bands getting paid to play the top charting AI songs live lol
Music had a one night stand with sound design.....And the condom broke

Ah i am not so pessimistic here. Of course AI will be a big player in the future. It's simply so much easier and faster to produce a song that way. But handmade songs will never vanish. And the industry will always find ways to make money :)

And the situation to before AI is not this different. Many chart musicians don’t write their songs entirely by themselves anyway :)

I would never give up human-driven music-making. I will fight and destroy society itself before allowing automated, plagiarized slop to replace my heart's highest passions, and I know Im very much not alone here.

If you are paying attention to the facts of "AI" development, including the unprecedented amount of money wasted on nonsense and the *gargantuan* amount of debt hanging over the entire industry and *entire capitalist economies*, you may not even need to run a poll to see what outcome is headed our way. And we arent even talking about the human rights violations, the gleeful, irreplaceable loss of jobs being planned *by* these companies, the psych manipulation and cognitive deficits seen in people who use "AI" products for any length of time, etc. This is an obvious dead end, on TOP of the unsustainable energy and water consumption, poisoning of entire towns from datacenter construction, etc etc.

This is nearly/probably an existential issue, and music production is really a low, low hanging fruit here.

Isn't all intelligence artificial?

Yeah, the dumbest ideologies and people carry water for this idea, and dumbness is pretty popular in the western world at this moment in time, so "artificial" intelligence marketing campaigns probably seem very real and convincing. Plus, its the *only thing propping up the US economy right now other than war*, so there is a lot of money behind the idea.

Yeah, I get it. No need to study what real "AI" initiatives were always about originally, or the obvious failings of this tech to calculate *anything*, lol, but with popular stupidity and propaganda literally causing western states to self destruct, is it any wonder that domestic populations, too, want to self destruct?

Its ok. This too shall pass, and then you will have these threads to look at, to remind yourselves.

But wait!!

Arent we going to colonize mars? The same people who want to sell you "AI" slop are also promising mars colonization, and with the same amount of evidence and practical ability that is behind the LLM/AI bubble.

Do you suppose we will... USE AI ON MARS, friendos? lmao I cant help but mock here, really. Its inescapable.

If you’re crusading against AI being used in music, then you also better be playing original, real physical instruments by hand, not samples or plugin emulations or cheap, mass produced vintage synth knock-offs made in a Chinese factory city. And you sure as hell better not be quantizing MIDI.

Will you stop listening to music if AI acquires top quality listening capabilities?
There'll be no point in listening to music if AI can do it for you bro.

My option is missing... I will go on making music using AI as a tool, for example as virtual singer, virtual instrument with enhanced quality and so on, but the songwriting, composition, arrangement and production will always be in my hands, head and heart, not in AI's ones :)

If you’re crusading for AI being used in music, then you also better be out there mining the gold used in the connectors of your computer and soldering your own circuit boards. And you sure as hell better not be using an Operating System that you didn't code by hand.

See where I'm going with this? Works both ways.

Use whatever you want but you'll never convince me that AI is doing anything but removing the humanity from the arts.

My point is that all of those things are "cheating" or "artificial" as well. I should have also thrown in pitch correction. AI is just the next step in a long evolution of manipulating and extending our natural abilities.
