I do a lot of midi editing. One of my favourite commands in 'Fender Studio' is selecting all notes from the curent one to the end which is very useful for the sort of work I often do. Is there any way to add these types of commands in Bitwig using scripts or macors? Would like ecentually to just focu on one DAW (Bitwig) eventually.

Do you want to extend the selection for all pitches? Or just for the pitch of the selected note? If the selection should be extended to the end for all pitches, there is an existing key command in Bitwig available. But I haven't found anything that extends a selection to the end based on a single pitch.
AFAIK, there is no macro functionality in Bitwig currently.

Oh ... I have to correct myself. The existing command "extend selection to last item" only extends the selection to the last note of the same pitch. If you want to extend the selection to all following notes, there is currently no way in Bitwig to do this directly via keyboard shortcut.
There is a workaround though, by switching to time selection mode via key command, then extend the selection to the end of the event, and then switch back to note selection mode again. This requires three key commands unfortunately, but it still is faster than using mouse or trackpad.
