Well I have a dilemma now on what to choose.

The one ENV in Model 15 is a bit of a bummer.

Not available for the next few months, and why would you choose that?

Isn't Model D going to be very good for basses and melodic techno style sounds? Like Bodzin etc.

I could technically order K2 MK2 later.

I have seen a comment like that:
"These are some welcome additions! However, it's already out there in the wild and I'm seeing various reports about the filter resonance dropping off quite a bit after an hour of use. It's only happening in the mk1 filter mode."

Do you know if this was fixed? :D

I don't really care about sequencers and whatnot because I'm going to work in Logic.
It's a semi-modular with 48 patch points. It's B's version of a Moog Grandmother, basically a Neutron/Proton except with the sound of a Moog. It has nothing to do with sequencers.
I see some posts from 2023 about some issue with sample & hold, do you know if it was all fixed perhaps?

The answer is in the thread
I asked Behringer for the serial number range of units with the defect. They said that all units produced after August 28th (2024)do not have the issue.

I have sent an email to cancel Model D from my order and will get K2 MK2, hopefully it Won’t have any bugs.

I just know some absolute legend tech house producers bought MS-20's from us. However, now that I know you're looking for Bodzin sounds, I'd say stick with the Model D. He uses a Sub 37 and that has 2 oscillators + sub.

This is messy because there's no one thing that does it all.

Post

I will go for K2 MK2 and will see in future.

The K2 is approximately 3.75 times better than the Model D. In the same way the MS20 is about 4 times better than a Minimoog (the extra points are because of the unstable tuning on proper old Moogs, whereas a real MS20 is rock solid)...

...and an MS20 screams like a bastard, whereas a Minimoog just kinda burps like a fat lady singing

TBH although the number of envelopes etc do have a bearing on actual usability of a synth, the most important aspect is usually the filter. Those old Korg filters just ooze aggression and character. Moog filters have some character but they're not what I call aggro, and they have horrible loss of bass when you crank the res up (unless it's a modern synth with bass compensation built in). A K2 gives you the best of both worlds in that you get 2 envelopes and possibly the best filters ever made. Be aware though that MS20 architecture can initially be a little bit confusing - they don't work in the same way as most envelopes but you'll soon get the hang of them. When you crank up and abuse an MS20 with either of the filters (because they both scream like bastards) you'll wet yourself when you compare them to any Moog. I say wet when actually I mean moist. It still makes me moist after 36 years

But can K2 MK2 make them fat basses?

Post

Yep

In fact a K2 can probably make bigger basses than a Model D. Crank up res on either the HPF or LPF when they're down in the basment frequencies and make sure your sphincter is clenched tight.
Fatness is not always about number of osc

Didn't say it is, but you need them fat filters right  :phones:

I have some slight noise coming out of my interface when connecting headphones, knowing my life it can't be too easy and I will get some noise while recording.

Pray for me it won't happen... :hyper: :borg: :help:
