To do a quick test I used my Oxygen 8 as a midi device in Reaper 7.6

Right-clicked Filter Cutoff, twiddled a knob, was assigned OK.

Thank you.
It must be something on my end, then. Strange: the MIDI indicator in MCP shows incoming MIDI, but nothing gets assigned.

When Integrate was first posted in Discord as a candidate I grabbed it and started messing with it. I found Cheese, so I just did some stupid stuff, hit save, and returned to other projects.

This time I've taken that barebones WIP and banged it into shape:

We're not allowed to have samples/soundclips in it, but I ask that you imagine that they're there in true 90's style.

EDIT: I've removed and re-upped a new version, this one features the classic 90's long filter turn.

Anybody on MacOS/Logic Pro here? The MacOS installers for Integrate and IntegrateFX don't work. I've also tried some workarounds, extracted the necessary files from the installer and put the .component package for the AU version together manually, but the plugin is not recognized. :( There was a similar problem with the other NAKST synths in the past, but their MacOS installers have been fixed by the developer, only the one for Integrate still seems to be broken. If anyone has a working version of the AU plugin, I'd be grateful.

I have it installed on 2 Macs (m3 and old intel) via installer, all works well here. Did you allow the installer via System-Preferences-Security tap? (run the installer click cancel on the delete message go to settings and find the point to allow that specific installer).

alternatively you might need to run "sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine" on the Integrate.component via Terminal

So that's basically saying you trust the installer/plugin without it being signed via apple.
if you don't want to do this on your own risk you might have to contact the developer.

Working In Logic12 here, too. I had to allow the installer via System-Preferences-Security.

Thank you for your replies. It's not a security issue. The installer just isn't working - neither on my Intel iMac nor my M4 MacBook. When double clicking the error message says something like "The Integrate Installer could not be opened, because it is broken or incomplete".
If you have a functioning Integrate.component I'd be very happy, if you could just upload it for me. :)

Cool track!
You wouldn't happen to be an avid VNV Nation listener, would you? ;)

Have you tried downloading with a different browser or extracting the zip with a different program?

Yes. I've also extracted the install script and files from the package and installed everything manually, but the AU component ist not recognized from Logic. All other NAKST installers and synths work fine. This issue is only with Integrate. Of course, I could try using the CLAP version with Kushview Elements, but if people here have a working AU version, it would be awesome if someone could provide it. I've tried every possible way to get it running...

I think I see the same issue you do, when trying to install on the latest macOS, on amd64, at least.

This is what has been said before -- you need to remove the quarantine attribute for an unsigned binary, which in this case is the installer.

Download the installer and extract it in your Downloads folder. You should have the installer in a directory like this:

Code: Select all

/Users/<your_username>/Downloads/IntegrateSynthMacOS_v1.2.5/Integrate\ Installer.app
You need to disable quarantine for, in Terminal, (adjust the path to match the path to the installer, if needed -- this should match the latest version) type:

Code: Select all

sudo xattr -d com.apple.quarantine ~/Downloads/IntegrateSynthMacOS_v1.2.5/Integrate\ Installer.app
... hit enter and enter your password.
After doing this successfully, you can run the installer normally, which will prompt you again for your password to do the same thing, for the CLAP or AU. After this it should work normally.

... if you somehow found the correct AU component, you can also remove the quarantine attribute from the AU using the same method with one of the permutations of this, depending where the component is, either in your home directory library (~/Library or the root directory /Library):

Code: Select all

sudo xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Integrate.component
sudo xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Integrate.component/Contents/MacOS/Integrate
sudo xattr -d com.apple.quarantine ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Integrate.component
sudo xattr -d com.apple.quarantine ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Integrate.component/Contents/MacOS/Integrate
... after you do this, I think some hosts require a restart before they will re-scan a plugin. The installer method should "just work"

Post

I appreciate your advice - but as said before, I've tried nearly every possible way to install that thing and also did a restart before making a new scan in Logic. It doesn't work! :( So again, and without being offensive, why can't anyone just upload the AU component, if it works on their system?
