Hi,

From what I’ve seen, all the synths have their DC power sockets located not on the front or back but toward the top of the unit.

I’ve ordered three synths along with the Behringer 3‑tier stand from Amazon.

I’m a bit confused though — if the synths are stacked closely together with no gaps between them, how am I supposed to plug in the DC power cables?

Thanks  :phones:

Should be totally fine. The connections are under a recess, so there is room for cables.

You plug in the DC Power cable from the back of 3-Tier Stand to your bottom synth before you screw it on the Stand.
The most important one is the one at the bottom since that one is very hard to get to when you have all 3 mounted on the stand.

The one in the middle and the one on top are easier to connect from the back even after they are mounted on the Stand.

The Reason i got a Surge protected Power strip for my 3-Tier rack is because the Power buttons are in the back of the synths so it is a nightmare having to power on the one in the Bottom and the one in the middle manually.

All the plugs and cables become a mess real quick. Behringer has the 'GO' rack to put these into so you only have one plug and I can attest from personal experience it works well.

The plugs don't fit together on my power strip. They block each other if they're next to each other. It's an issue with erica synths and a lot of European makers with the new plugs that have switchable between EU/England/US. There should be a global standard power plug.

Are there some good replacement cables for those synths that fit the UK plug?
Thomann adds EU->UK adapters for free, but I'm not sure if its as safe as a "native" plug.

I wasn't talking about plugs, just connections on back of synths in the 3 tier stand.

Plugs are a nightmare, so many diff shapes.

The Behringer Go has a ‘line lump’ but the plug that goes into that is one specific to your country I think. For that alone I recommend it.

Yeah, Behringer plugs are perfectly the wrong shape. They couldn't design them any worse if they tried. Too wide to fit next to each other in some power strips and completely back to front. I have a big 10 point power strip with 2 rows of 5 and Behringer are the only ones that block each other because the big end sits in the middle. Those old ones they used to use that clipped together are so flimsy that one of them broke on first use putting it together. A real weak point IMO, whereas despite the usual gossip about Behringer build quality, their synths are often really sturdy.

I bought some alternative replacement PSUs for some of the Behringers. Will probably replace all of them at some point. I guess they have to cut corners etc to achieve the price they do, and PSUs is one area they really use cheap shite.

I hope it won't be an issue for me, I've just bought a power strip and attached it underneath the desk, 6 slots left.

I think they will arrive with EU plug so I will need an adapter inserted, so perhaps it won't be an issue for me, but I don't know how the plugs look like.
