Does anyone have any tricks for this?
Windows 11 shows the device, then states it is connected and ready to go, but it is NOT connected at all.
Any ideas?

Connected as what?
- does it not say what kind it is connected as
- in device manager look through and see if you find it
- some devices require a driver install?
For my phones is says either "headset" or "music".
- then I have in sound settings both headsets and phones and can disable headsets not to get connected as those
- no idea where midi devices turn up, it's some kind of audio device if looking in device settings
In a daw I suppose this comes up as midi port, or?
Can Windows do midi over Bluetooth at all?
- strangely Boss specs does not say Bluetooth version required
Boss state it's the "the world’s first wireless MIDI expression pedal", so thinking might be new requirements.
Just a few ideas....

It's ok, I have discovered it is a know Windows 11 issue which is inherent in the OS and cannot be circumvented. One HAS to use 3rd party gear like LoopMIDI and MIDIBerry to have the BLE device continuously connected. IN Apple and Linux it all just works hahaha!
