(in Falcon) applying controls to a .wav file

I am a complete newby to Falcon, I have viewed some tutorials online to get started.

I have a sample file (ie a .wav file) lasting about 30 seconds.
I want to draw a line which I then use to control the velocity of the .wav sample.
ie the line I have drawn will increase/decrease the velocity of the sound sample.
At the moment I have no idea how to achieve this in Falcon.

In time I also want to control other parameters of the sound sample, eg its pitch, or apply filtering which will change over the course of the 30 seconds.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
