Hi Community!

I've been using the same AirWindows plugins in every mix for ages, so I decided to combine them into a single channel strip plugin with a proper UI and preset system.

NineStrip is FREE and OPEN SOURCE (AGPL-3.0)

What's inside:
  • Channel9 - Console emulation with saturation
  • Highpass2 / Lowpass2 - Flexible filtering
  • Baxandall2 - High and low shelves
  • Parametric - Hi-mid EQ band
  • Pressure4 - Smooth compression
  • PurestGain - Clean input/output gain

Looking for testers! I've tested on Linux/Bitwig and validated with pluginval on all platforms, but I'd love feedback!

Needless to say (or maybe it is needed these days and age), this is not vibe coded! I'm no DSP expert but it was coded by me, with some assistance from AI. The DSP is all AirWindows' code - I just wired it together with a UI.

Airwindows code & Linux already got me interested. Thank you!

Sounds great and uses very little CPU!

It would be cool to have readouts of the EQ parameters though, like frequency and dB.

Also, what's the "mewi..." control in the compressor?

Thanks for the plugin!

Looking really nice! Great work. Thanks!

Nice idea - is there a Mac version? CLAP?

the download link in the OP is to the page that tells you.

Kinda like a dream come true! I haven't touched the Airwindows plugs for ages, but they sure sound great.

But hang on...

How does this solve the Airwindows Console setup 'thing'; the 'summing' happens when using the correct setup, something like:

channel last on channels, console first on busses,
then there are rules about the levels going in/out of them etc etc...

This is why i gave up.

Your 'plugin' (GUI) doesn't solve / use any of this, right?

Thnx

That's Channel, not Console. It's just labelled console. You're fine. The reason for the rules and stuff about Console is, I have ideas on how things should go to sound best. But people can use the code to make whatever else, that can sound however they want: they don't have to do all my things the way I would do them, that's for me to do <3 so firstly, try the thing and see if it works better for you, and secondly, if it doesn't sound as good you'll eventually notice but it might still be fine if it encourages better performances or a better workflow out of you :)

Thanks Chris :)

That's so cool!

It got me thinking though...a channel strip out of Airwindows processors in the mix-n-match-style of u-he Diva would absolutely kill it...

Don't hit me :hihi:

This looks awesome!! Thank you for supporting Linux!! Does the framework scale up for high resolution monitors? What framework did you use?
