Are Arturia plugins a mess only for me? (Mac)

Hi,

Since like previous Mac OS I always had some issues with their plugins, and they no longer have support. I'm wondering if it's just me.

First bug that I had which is mostly gone now, is that when opening the plugin in Logic, the "top bar" would be missing, so I couldn't browse presets.

The bug I have now 100% of the time, is that some plugins, especially Pigments takes a long time to load. Sometimes I have to click on "Pigments" on the track multiple times for it to show the damn interface.

I've changed Mac OS and Logic versions, did clean installs, and it's a buggy mess.

Anyone else?

Oh yeah, agreed sometimes takes hours to install what you want. It seems the AU is a wrapped VST3 whatever that means. (My guess an Onion in a plastic Bag)
Had all my plugins on an external SSD, one day just didn't work any more. Now they are back on the main drive and work. Each update is a risky install.

Followed by going to my account, and downloading backwards versions until one works.

FWIW, I'm not seeing that problem on PC. I know that isn't especially helpful, but maybe it helps narrow the problem down.

We don’t know if it’s a AU problem.
Maybe it happens to some on PC, no idea.

No. Issues with Yabridge on Linux either.
So maybe it is a au problem.

I am not familiar with mac or logic but maybe try vst 3 instead of au if Logic supports other plugin formats.

Cubase. Reason, Ableton, FL Studio all run on my Mac(s) with VST and or VST3. Logic is AU only, it sees the Plastic bag but sometimes not the Onion, see above

This can be an extreme b**lsache when you have V Collection X and FX collection 4 as I do. Added to which Arturia makes non stop updates for all their software, except Spark that runs great all the time on three different OS versions. I have learnt if it isn't broken don't fix it, don't
update !

If the software was not so good I would have dumped it a year ago

I don't have Windows any more, gave that up after Windows 7. i have a virtual XP if necessary.

Judging by your past post pics in other threads, I assume you're on mac os tahoe, yes?

If you're on sequoia or earlier, then I don't have a clue. I have 8 fx from arturia, and they all open fine & fast enough for me (like 2 sec max).

There were bugs already in previous OS version.

And Arturia literally doesn't answer to any kind of support tickets.
Whether it's bugs, license transfers or anything else.

I hope they go bankrupt for this reason, hate companies like that.
The only reason I'm using their junk is because I got it for very cheap.
