There's a manual with the download and Dillon's posted a walkthrough on Youtubewagtunes wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 2:03 pm Well, to make use of the trial, you really have to know how to program the synth because it doesn't come with any presets to hear how they sound. So is there a manual?

Try hitting the user button and select some of the categories; that seems to open a bunch of presetsshonky wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 6:45 pmThere's a manual with the download and Dillon's posted a walkthrough on Youtubewagtunes wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 2:03 pm Well, to make use of the trial, you really have to know how to program the synth because it doesn't come with any presets to hear how they sound. Yeah, I'm less concerned about the amount than I am about the lack of transparency there. Small indicators leading to greater ones down the road. Especially after the recent DiscoDSP George thing and developer/proprietor whims of Cockos and Penzy. I see the developer is in this thread? And the questions about this are not yet acknowledged.pekbro wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 6:38 pm My tax added up to $2 or something, I thought $60 is just the reg price.
Just sayin…
Even if the plugin is one I eventually won't use, supporting a small developer that doesn't become a sore spot could be worth just that.

I used Apple pay so had no idea that there was tax until I hit pay and there was no recourse.
Its a lovely synth, but as I said earlier, Soundemote produced similar with way more control.

Which didn't work until I manually navigated to the folder. Sorry but this preset system is pretty bad. Of course not nearly as bad as NI Reaktor.aMUSEd wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 9:23 pmIt has a preset menuwagtunes wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 5:49 pmOkay, I found them in appdata but there is no load function on this synth. Well it didn't work for me at first so maybe it's a Cubase 14 bug. It is possible.VariKusBrainZ wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 9:51 pm No its really simple, you dont have to go to folders, just navigate the preset menu.

may I ask what why you cant use it? There is also a free demo trialwagtunes wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 10:38 am After reading the replies I realize I can't use this. Well, that's disappointing. This would make a great vst and would sell like hotcakes. But, oh well. Such is life. On the plus side, I saved myself $60.

I think a confusion in my design is that there is the preset category to the left of the selected preset. Preset category by default is "User" with only the Init preset in it. You have to click "User" to select a different preset category and then you'll see the other presets!wagtunes wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 9:54 pmWell it didn't work for me at first so maybe it's a Cubase 14 bug. That error was because i hosted it originally on dropbox I didnt realize there were limits. I have since moved it to a stable release platform so it should work fine now. And yea it does charge VAT, you could try a VPM maybe ;pBBFG# wrote: Wed Feb 11, 2026 7:39 pm Price and the addition of Linux made me think it should be an instant buy. But clicking the buy button doubled the price minimum and would not show tax until CC was entered.
So I opted to download demo instead, which came up with an error of downloads being exceeded for the day.
Feels sketchy.
Going to avoid for now.

It shouldnt of said $30+ unless thats the M4L version you were on?BBFG# wrote: Wed Feb 11, 2026 8:06 pm It showed 30+ for me until I hit buy and showed as 60+ and tax to be added according to address. Which you couldn't do without adding CC information and clicking buy. That's a no go.
And for all upset about location VAT, you are welcome to email me at dillonbastanstore@gmail.com to do paypal or something!

I probably wont do a 1:1 remake like this idea but i am planning by the end of year to create a sample based device combining many of my physics/drawing/ML ideas from the past into one hell of a crazy sampler workstation so stay tuned for that one which wiol be a lot more on the experimental and fun side of things!wasi wrote: Wed Feb 11, 2026 8:52 pm Great experimental synth, I love it! Please port more of your stuff over from m4L. I have Live, but I don't want to buy plugins that are constrained to that DAW forever.

I mean you can check out the presets like pads and keys if you need musical and if you dont like the examples and the synth then thats your opinion and its okplexuss wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 5:56 pm A bit of a noise maker... not sure if I can use this musically. I'll keep playing with the demo. Interesting noise sounds though. Not sure how a quantum field equation can be used to make audio though, how it's implemented. That might just be hype unless the dev can give a detailed explaination. I studied physics so I have a bit of a clue.
