The software is $60 not $30 for the VST. The m4l device is $30. You are the second person to say it said $30+ for you, I checked myself and it doesnt, definitely would be curious to know if some browsers have some bug it seems like it shouldnt happen.BBFG# wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 6:18 pm Can the developer give more information on "tax by location".
Being that we're from the same neck of the woods I expect a no tax on software and assume this is meant for those hit by VAT/AVT/out of state taxes. Still a little shocked that it first came up as $30+ and immediately doubled to $60+ as soon as I clicked the buy button...
(Not saying it's not worth that, but the way it did it gave me pause to learn more first.) Also, the download trial still comes up with a "download limit exceeded-try again later" error by the developer.

There is VAT by location (determined by Stripe not by me) but it seems like people thought it was $30 when it is $60 so they thought it went up (maybe there is a bug on my site before going to stripe that happens on some browsers??)? I dunno seems like mixed reasons but certainly am not trying to scam anyone and down to be very transparent you can even inquire more to me at dillonbastanstore@gmail.comBBFG# wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 8:46 pmYeah, I'm less concerned about the amount than I am about the lack of transparency there. Small indicators leading to greater ones down the road. Especially after the recent DiscoDSP George thing and developer/proprietor whims of Cockos and Penzy. I see the developer is in this thread? And the questions about this are not yet acknowledged.pekbro wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 6:38 pm My tax added up to $2 or something, I thought $60 is just the reg price.
Just sayin…
Even if the plugin is one I eventually won't use, supporting a small developer that doesn't become a sore spot could be worth just that.

I'm just reporting what occured with the price. If you read the rest, could you answer why I'm getting a message for me to try later because you have exceeded your daily download limit?ndivuyo wrote: Fri Feb 13, 2026 12:51 amThe software is $60 not $30 for the VST. Gotcha. I replied in another comment: "That error was because i hosted it originally on dropbox I didnt realize there were limits. I have since moved it to a stable release platform so it should work fine now."BBFG# wrote: Fri Feb 13, 2026 3:26 amI'm just reporting what occured with the price. I tried it for about half an hour. It’s a neat, interesting and fairly niche synth but it feels unfinished or way too simple. To put it more precisely: it needs far more impact and considerably deeper functionality under the hood to be truly competitive. At $60, it’s not there yet.
What I miss most in a synth like this is of course randomization. I couldn’t find a single feature related to it, which genuinely surprised me given the developer’s track record with morphing and generative-style tools. That absence alone makes it feel restrained.
Another dealbreaker: the modulation amount parameters aren’t exposed to the DAW. I immediately rule out any instrument or effect that doesn’t make all parameters available for automation. That’s fundamental.
As for the sound, the current architecture feels extremely limited. No matter how much I push, bend, warp or reshape it, the tonal variation doesn’t go far enough to be inspiring. The filter section is also underwhelming. Far too small a selection to support serious sound design work.
The strongest aspect for me is the UI. It’s visually appealing with great layout, thoughtful parameter placement and a strong color scheme. But it’s not resizable (I always prefer a bottom-right drag handle for free scaling), however aesthetically, it’s well executed.

I kind of feel the same way. I mean I like it. But for $60 it just doesn't do enough for me. But I am open to a future purchase if things are added over time.enCiphered wrote: Fri Feb 13, 2026 8:44 am I tried it for about half an hour. The result would still be arbitrary… Either left or right spin…aMUSEd wrote: Fri Feb 13, 2026 12:56 pmOh I know but now we need an observation operated MIDI controller

Any suggestions for what would be "considerably deeper functionality under the hood" for you for FR other than the randomizing and more filter shapes? The focus I was aiming for is designing different initial quantum states to achieve various complexities of sound design, and setting up those dynamics of the simulation and initial states would yield a wide variety of results instead of many different settings such as the typical FM etc. For sure it is quite unconventional and takes some exploring to know how to work with the simulation and setting up the initial quantum states and environmental factors in the simulation to yield different types of results (not to mention the different ways the wave function collapse and oscillator entanglement behave depending on the wave energy in the simulation). They are definitely not things to all tweak with a heavy hand and are different than settings typical in synths which is kind of the path I have chosen for many of my devices and what they offer (some users love it some hate it as it goes).enCiphered wrote: Fri Feb 13, 2026 8:44 am I tried it for about half an hour. I am surprised you werent able to get a lot of tonal variation, it should be able to get quite a range especially considering the section where you add waveform files into the simulation and select value modes for extracting different waveforms from the simulation. but I can understand the other feedback.

Leave the top box as it is (the greyed out '60+'), put in your email address in the box underneath and then click 'Download! (Trail Available)' button to grab the installer. Install over the top of the old one and it'll remember your previously entered license key.

Hmm.. I'm a little late to the party but have now been testing the VST3 demo for a while. Quite frankly, I'm having a hard time justifying the asking price for the plugin version. Yes, it's a new novel oscillator/synthesis method but the thing as a whole leaves a lot to be desired.
I'm not a fan of the limited modulation setup. I'm also bummed out by the less than stellar filters. Why on earth can't I modulate the output volume of each filter pair when in parallel mode? That's a huge loss in possibilities right there. I'd also really like a global 5 band EQ at the output so that we could quickly tailor the output to reign in some wildness.
This just feels very half-baked as it is now. Tremendous potential but the actual execution as a whole is quite weak.. it just doesn't feel like it's worth 60€ + taxes for the synth. I may pay 30€ + tax for the M4L version though, as it's dead simple to group things into a rack in Live and thus get a much more competent device.
